this review is helpful. but ur n53 is the higher end 3499 one, i plan to get the 2799 one. diff specs, but build should be the same ya?
thumbs up for the detailed review. i only read the 1st post, but did not notice anything regarding heat issue. how is the generated heat? and did u try leaving the n53 on for more than 24 hours?

hmm, just wondering what cooler pad do u guys use for your n53 series? the vents are at the back, middle to bottom right?
i read bout the zalman nc2000, and i'll quote it " If the cooling fan(s) on your laptop rely on a bottom-mounted exhaust port, this cooling stand will interfere with your computer’s ability to cool itself."
ok the bolded part i don't really understand.

agreed yesterday played few hours of me2, the left side become hotter. also the right side palm rest. i think its the hdd? or the dvd rom? thats y its hot abit. but i have tested the pc on for more than 24 hours, mostly idling dlding stuff, it still remains quite cool(in air cond room). keep in mind mine is n53sv. but the build is the same as n53sn so should be similar. @ellimistx99 QUOTE I don't think that's true. At least from the days of Vista/XP I remember as long as you got a newer OEM than your laptop it'd be fine and would work. Either way, you can call ASUS and get a clean (bloatware free) CD if windows 7 and it will work. bro can point me in the right direction to do this? like a number to call or office to visit? thanks. fast? for me its fast cause i updated from old dell vostro core 2 machine. but its i7 vs i5 ler u asking of course i7 will be faster. my budget was 2.5k-3k pc, the n53sn was 3.5k, so abit overbudget. but its fast enough to run mass effect 2 and dragon age 1 on max settings smoothly.

u guys here, with n53 series, any of u use zalman nc 2000? does the n53 fit it fully or have any extra space? i can't find any nc2000 yet, so i got a temporary cooler master infinite. but it doesn't fully fit my n53(the edges come out abit), so i am gonna get a nc2000 when i can find it. just need some info from u guys, which the same n53, who is using nc2000. thanks also, u guys think pc fair will have zalman nc 2000? i go digital mall check alot shop, don't have, and pm several lyn shops/seller also dun have. but when i leave it idle in air cond room to download, in the morning the temp when i check it is 32-34.
i just wan try zalman nc2000. there is so many good thing ppl say bout it lol.
