if it really kaput so soon, i think i will want to replace with a ssd. hopefully the price for ssd will drop tremendously by then 

err guys..how can you guys so sure that the seagate hdd is bad?
really should not be like that..even let say wd is 'better' then seagate, i dont think normal user would really notice them..hmm

seagate is one of the major hdd maker..dont you think their product is good? tech wise, they are better then wd..

hibernating/sleep issues is more related to s/ware, IMHO..
any of you guys actually approach asus?

My A42JV's Seagate Momentus died in 8 days. Kinda like a record among my friends here.

FYI, my previous Toshiba L510's WD HDD also died within two weeks after I purchased the laptop.

Right Click your C: in My Computer then go to Hardware Tab, check the HDD code, Seagate brand starts with ST while Western Digital starts with WD.

Anyway, dam u beat me at getting 5hr 30min. My battery lasted me for 5hr 15min and only left 8% ......i wonder how long can the 8% last

dun really think of selling it yet cause im still satisfied with it.
Somehow all these lag/hang seems kinda rare now and i do hibernate alot, at least 3 times a day (hibernate & wake up = 1)
Keyboard flex does not bother me at all
Design....ohh i love it so much specially when the lid is close and the middle (between the lid and surface) by looking at it...the feeling is indescribable  . I just love the design and i would say the design is better than the HP DV6
Speakers....   obvious distortion when max and bass not deep enough......anyway lucky i got a 2.1 Ext Speaker. If not i sure regret d. One thing though, im really curious how good is the HP DV6 speakers......i just have to hear it with my own ears 
Battery life.....dam   can hit 5hr 15min with Playing music from 100% - 8%. Volume 70% btw. If with Wifi + Web browsing and on music now and then...i got around 5hrs
