The 2012 Peugeot 308 facelift is better-looking, cheaper, and better-equipped than the 408. Other than for the space, there's no reason to buy the 408?

Engine in the 408 is also said to have less issues compared to the 308 in the long run.

no longer an issue? my fren 6months pug got oil leak and jerk @.@
love the look, probably resort to vti

Hmmmm, being a THP owner before (although just a 4 speeder), I've had 3 engine cover changes but that didn't solve the issue. It wasn't until Nasim/Peugeot came up with a oil hose clip that the leak was permanently resolved. Also, some SC made the mistake of putting in too much engine oil and this also causes a leak.

As for the jerk, perhaps your friend's unit has got some issues. A visit to the SC should get it all rectified.

IC... means engine oil leak is no longer a concern as well as the jerking. Thats great  thumbup.gif
Btw, old THP 60k service cost how much?
The new THP cost rm3.6k right?
*
I believe it's about half the price of the current 6 speeders. The earlier 4 speed gearbox uses Peugeot's AL4 which can be jerky at low speeds. The good thing about that GB is that the ATF is much cheaper.

With the new Aisin sourced 6 speed GB, Peugeot had to import the original ATF from Japan to France then send out again. This adds a significant amount to the costing.
