Aeon Card Or previously named as J-Card is quite a very useful card if you DO shop inside Jusco General Merchandise Store (GMS), and not up to the full usefulness if you shop @ supermarkets only smile.gif

T&C of Cash Rebate

3% rebates are given based on total amount, and will only be credited when the total amount is in Blocks of RM10. (Non-Sales Period is 5%, But HARDLY can find Non-Sales Period), All time (sales or not sales) 3% rebates are given to purchase in Eletrical/Eletronical areas

Minimum Spending of RM500 at least to get the rebates...

The period is based on Semi-Annual Collection (Jan - June) / (July - December) Where after the particular period, you could collect at the next 6 months.

_____________________________________________________________________________

RM2500 purchase at GMS stores 3% rebate = RM75 Rebates In Voucher

Purchases are Made Within the first half Year of 2011. (January 2011-June 2011)

On July 2011, You Could Collect the RM70 Vouchers On July Itself, Up to December 2011.

I'm Not sure if they Honour RM5 Vouchers to be collected, but what i have told is they only accept in Blocks of RM10.

This is just Rebates for the vouchers, I still haven't put in the Points Rebates, where RM1 = 1 point earned on this case.

The best conversion would be RM20 Vouchers for 2500 J-Points. = Literally 0.8% rebate

So lets say with the same Sample.

RM2500 Purchase at GMS stores with 3% rebate + J-points 0.8% rebate = 3.8% total rebate = a total of RM95 (RM5 not sure if can collect or not) of Jusco Vouchers.

So lets Combine with Maybank 2 cards with 5X TP and 5% rebates on weekends

Since the total "Length is 6 months, you could get up to RM125 Cash Rebates, as Every Month is capped at RM50 @ a total of RM300 for 6 months)

5X TP Points conversion is 2.5% in voucher format.

Rm2500 Spending = 3% rebate in vouchers + 0.8% in J-points + 2.5% rebate for TP Points Conversion + 5% Cash Rebate = 11.3% Rebates! smile.gif

If Groceries, then need to minus out the 3% rebate in vouchers as the vouchers are only applicable for GMS products.

3 Years validity date on the J-Points.

Free Parking (Very applicable as Supermarket purchase could go up to 1 hour ++ ) up to Two Hours smile.gif

Annual FEES (Must Pay)

Change from old card to new card is FOC Till 30th April~
user posted image

Annual Fee of RM12 per year. With Current promotion it's recommended to renew up to 3 Years once your card is almost expired...
user posted image
calculated based on per year basis.
user posted image
If lets say you renew for 3 years For just RM24, you will get 300 points immediately. and For 1 forumer that manages to get FOC Pen,i got myself 2*keychain, 1 for myself and 1 for my dad~ Didn't get the Entertainment token or whatsorts thou sad.gif

user posted image
This one is Tricky~ i managed to ask my friend who are a Frequent Poslaju visitor (He everytime are forced to pay Rm1 parking as he parks more then 1 hour waiting for postage services for almost everyday), and asked him to apply 3 years... He gets 300 points for renewal + 100 Points for Member get member... while i also get the same 400 points instead of a mere 100 points.. it maybe happening only for me... but.. meh~ 300 points extra is goodie~ biggrin.gif

You Can even get Rebates on Electrical Appliances areas (Home Centre) up to 3% Rebate.

And for how i Calculate 0.8% Rebate

user posted image

T&C of Cash Rebate

Every ringgit spent in JUSCO (AEON) will be converted to 1 point.

Points expiry date: 3 years from the year points were accumulated.

Eg. Points for purchases made in year 2010 will expire on 31 December 2013

RM1 = 1 Point

RM20 Voucher = 2500 J-Points

0.8% Rebates based on the voucher rates. may be lower or higher if exchange with lower value Vouchers.

More details on it's rebates and Points redemption information.

On Special Discounts on other F&B + other Retailers with Jusco Card are as below (Will Be Updated Regularly when i HAVE TIME >.<)

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Apr 6 2011, 11:02 AM)

IMHO ... it is the only credit card in Malaysia to be avoided.
There are other better cards out there which offer better promotions and more importantly better managed than Jusco cards.

Myself and a couple of people got their payments lost. Jusco card refuse to acknowledge payment had been made and force me to pay twice.

So TS ... are you sure you want to promote this card ?

hye, I think TS talking about J Card and not Aeon Credit Card. JCard annual fee RM12 and supp card FREE.

I got J Card too (use together with Credit Card), don't know how the points system works but every year I get rewarded with vouchers (not from points redemption). Only 2 week ago, went to renew my J Card and found out that I can get RM50 vouchers at Customer Service.

Thanks to boonykun, now I know that we ger rewarded 3% rebate for purchases at JJ and that does not include the 0.8% from J Card points. Anyone can confirm TS's comments.

Best time to get anything (especially big ticket items) in on J Card day. In addition to getting reward points and further discount, we get RM10 voucher for every RM100 spent smile.gif

Being a regular Aeon patron, what I like about J card is you can use it to pay for the parking fee for the 2nd hour, which would be RM1 otherwise. Also, in certain restaurants in Aeon, you may present the card to waive the tax (forget GST or service charge).

But you have to fork the annual fee of RM 12 if I remembered correctly.

Too bad that I'm not a frequent Jusco shopper.

Not everything. Look for those products with Promotion tag by Jusco.

Those promotional items last for quite some time. Same goes to the other Hypermarket. It's the promotional item that's worthwhile. tongue.gif

I got Tesco card too and I do shop at TESCO, but the cash voucher I get from TESCO is like RM1 or RM2 rclxub.gif

Taking the supermarket aside, JJ is a departmental store whereas TESCO is a hypermarket, different category and market segment. And on J CArd Member's day, the JJ will be jam packed, can even cause traffic jam at FEderal Highway for the MidValley outlet.

So anyone can confirm boonykun's comment on the 3% and 0.8 csah back?

I have a J-Card too but i never got any voucher from them. I use the card to buy mooncake mainly. The discount i can get is huge. The normal RRP is already about RM4 cheaper than the one in Kota Kinabalu and Jaya Jusco gives extra RM8 - RM10 discount to J-Card members. The total savings i get from buying mooncake at Jaya Jusco Mid-Valley is more than RM100 thumbup.gif J-Card also entitles you to some extra discount at the department store (sometimes and for certain items only).

One of the restaurants is Jonny's Steamboat at 1Utama. I only discovered this from a friend recently, because there's no sign whatsoever in the restaurant that says you'll get 15% off (or was it 10%?).

You are talking about discount on J card partner, I think it's different from 'Service tax/gov tax waiver' mentioned by Human Nature.

For this, depending on how you purchase the mooncakes, Or HOW EARLY you want to purchase yr mooncakes, it MAY be cheaper to just use the voucher + j-card (Normally Vouchers for moon-cakes are at RM45 cash for a total of RM50 mooncake value) where you will be saving 10% directly from voucher itself, and not depending on any rebates from Credit cards, and further save by having a J-card and get more discount based on members price.

RM50 Mooncake Vouchers normally don't stay for long, where like you will need to purchase the vouchers 1 month before moon cake festival, else there's ALMOST no chance for you to get it.

above does indeed helps a lot. thanks. I know that Electrical have different cash rebate but never bothered to find out how much or T&C.

Not too bad, we get 5% for GMS during non sale period.
When there's a sale, who cares, we get better discount tongue.gif But seriously, on top of the sale we do get 3% cash rebate smile.gif

Now I know why I got the cash voucher, I bought a Scholl shoe end of last year and that most probably made my total expenditure at JJ department store more than RM500 in the last half year. Must make note that need to spend RM500 half yearly to get cash rebate from JJ.

RM12 tbh if you Don't even Shop in Jusco's GMS or Supermarket Often, But often go to Jusco Shopping Malls (E.G. Have dinner @ Secret recipe while parked at thier shopping centre (lets say Bukit Tinggi, Klang), And do other stuffs in the mall (for more then 1 Hour, or less then 2 hours, Depending on areas), it is consider Very Worthy if you do that Often.

Previously my friend have worked somewhere near Bukit Tinggi, and he has multiple clients to attend and meet always in his own area, and always need to "entertain" them, therefore end up a lot of times in Jusco, parking of RM1 is always paid despite he stays like for 1 hour 10 mins, or 1 hour 1 minute. Even thou he didn't "Earn" any points or what's so, his RM12 is like a "Yearly Parking Ticket" in almost "ALL" Jusco Shopping Centre smile.gif

Yah yah , I did get RM100 voucher from JJ but that I mentioned in my post at my blog dated 2009, and that was because I guess I bought a LCD Tv from JJ. Click here to read my article on that.

This year only RM50 and as you say only realize how the rebate works after this thread came to existence and thanks to you in particular, low7, for posting the link. This thread is great for JJ card holders.

TS, maybe you should also mention that we get 5% at GMS during non sale period in your 1st post and other discount rate. And that we need to spend above RM500 half yearly to be eligible for the cash back reward. Some may be too lazy to click on link you posted to read T&C.

*
Editing now since i am slgihtly free on my job for a while smile.gif

And yea, RM500 may be small for some (half a year a pair of shoes + cloths just for myself already MORE then RM500 >.<, not to mention a Full Year.)

One of the restaurants is Jonny's Steamboat at 1Utama. I only discovered this from a friend recently, because there's no sign whatsoever in the restaurant that says you'll get 15% off (or was it 10%?).
*
hi. i'm a j-card member for many years already. just want to share...

1st, the info TS giving regarding the rebates is correct.

additional info - on members day, shop at groceries rm100 can only get rm5 vouchers.
can combined max 2 receipts from same department on same day.
sometimes jusco make it clear, example receipts at groceries are in green color while at deparment store are in pink color.

jusco also give special price for member, example last month sunkist dash's price is the cheapest compare to tesco/giant/carrefour.

2nd, yes j-card got rm12 annual fee, but u can take it as payment for first 12x parking for 2 hours at jusco.

by default, jusco give free 2 hours parking for j-card member, after that just rm1 (no matter how long).
while non member is free for 1 hour parking only.

but, some jusco near train, only give 1 hour free parking, after that rm1 for each hour.
example are maluri (star lrt) and alpha angle wangsa maju (putra lrt).
while for member no free parking at all. maybe to avoid people just parked the car then take train.

3rd, for johnny restaurant, can get 10% discount on a-la-carte menu only.
(maybe since the service tax is also 10%, so can consider it as service tax waiver?)

more info is inside jusco partner leaflet - get it from service counter.
got lot discount - starbucks, cosmos world, sunway lagoon, etc.
(last year auntie anne buy 2 free 1, but this year no longer have)

I got Tesco card too and I do shop at TESCO, but the cash voucher I get from TESCO is like RM1 or RM2  rclxub.gif

Taking the supermarket aside, JJ is a departmental store whereas TESCO is a hypermarket, different category and market segment. And on J CArd Member's day, the JJ will be jam packed, can even cause traffic jam at FEderal Highway for the MidValley outlet.

So anyone can confirm boonykun's comment on the 3% and 0.8 csah back?

Agree, scout around first as on the J Card day itself it will be like a market and the Q at the cashiers will be long.

And ronnie, thanks for highlighting the J card days, I actually have an appointment at MV on 20th so going to cancel it.

You just need to show the card. Any Jusco card will do. Not necessary have to be applied from Puchonf. If you're not a member, then can use your family or friends Jusco card. You can also apply a new card on the spot and use it.

about the 10% discount at Starbucks............

(1) If just say the coffee is RM10, do u only pay RM9? Or U still pay RM10 but the RM1 goes into J-Card as a form of voucher?

(2) Is there a minimum u have to spend in order to get that 10% discount?

(3) This discount applies to all Starbucks branches, right?

Already got mooncake ah ? And what's the promotion like this year ? Last year it was something like buy a RM100 mooncake voucher but pay only RM90 for it biggrin.gif And this offer can be used on top of the discount one can get with the J-Card. A very good deal! Each box is about RM10 cheaper compared to Sabah sweat.gif

For Jusco Ayer Keroh, I got it from the customer service counter. Not sure if it'll be the same for other Jusco...not even sure if this voucher is available in other Jusco, but I think they should be the same...

Edit:

I bought the mooncake vouchers at the customer service counter too on LG, just right outside the supermarket checkout counters. This was in Jaya Jusco Mid-Valley.

If you meant J-card points, the answer is no. You can't use J Card when purchasing the vouchers. Can only use when USING the voucher.

*
Tesco Clubcard rebates is 0.5% because each RM2 spent is entitled to 1 point, for redemption, 1 point = RM1.

I'm also not really understand how the 3% works. I understand the 0.8% is derived from points redemption of RM20 using 2500 points (with RM1=1 point collection).

If 1 point equal RM1.. thats like 50% rebates.. hell no.. 100 point for RM1 more like it.

i'm not very sure with AEON Credit Cards as this topic is more towarsd AEON Card (Previously known as Jusco Card)...

btw Everyone would it be better if i rename the thread to Aeon Members card... or by leaving Aeon Member as what the main website is stated *and current name* will do?

AEON members seems to attract those who own the credit cards too... where i personally felt that their cards (Aeon Credit cards) don't have much benefits... and it's a hassle to pay to them based on my dad's previous experience...

so now, there are 2 kinds of cards from Jusco / AEON ?

1) The normal J-Card --> Aeon Card (get points and rebates)
http://aeonretail.com.my/aeonmember/html/benefits.php

2) An Aeon credit card ?
http://www.aeonmalaysia.com.my/acs/af/kona...dChannels=-8814

i never knew jusco was in the business of issuing credit cards too

Jusco is now known as AEON Stores.... AEON is the company owning AEON Store & issues AEON CC which links to AEON Card to 2X points collection.

J-Card (or now Aeon Card) = Point redemption

Aeon Credit Card - > Credit card by Aeon.. Aeon Stores = Jusco. Aeon = Big main company as what ronnie mentioned below

Today I was at AEON 1U to buy a birthday gift, for cosmetic (I bought a bottle of perfume) every RM100 get RM10 voucher, but today last day. Also I was surprised they have "happy hour", certain items have extra discount during certain time.

it's on promotional basis only. occasionally will have it after their sales period.

Aeon cards+ the CC are useful on their member's day with vouchers every 100, +2-3%rebates+2.5x points. so can get the points rather quickly if buy alot of things from them.

If Just discounts... as below
Lets see... Like Teppanyaki... Free Fuji Snow (something like ABC) with RM35 spend on meals (easilly achieved with 3 person)

Johnny not sure.. their food not that up to expectation anyway.. so never went in anymore after one bad experience like 3 years ago... smile.gif

AFAIK, it's only for general points collection in AEON stores... anywhere further = just utilizing the discounts only.

usually they do.. and they MAKE sure you read it before purchasing~ as generally they make the fonts bigger.. and the non-member's word smaller

some may take and pay, and argue... therefore wastes other peoples time smile.gif

As long as it's a Credit card, Govt Service Tax of RM50 is a MUST, unless Budget 2013 (or 2014 or 2015 or ...) abolishes it.

Usually during Festive Season like Chinese New Year and Hari Raya, you do get their special vouchers (not AEON cash vouchers, which has no expiry dates)
Hari Raya Promo : Buy RM100, get RM5 Festive voucher.

Of course AEON Members Day is the event which gives out AEON Cash voucher (valid starting 1-day after Members Day, with no expiry date)

TBH i haven't heard of Members day despite it's already the last week of ramadhan... most prob because of the "insane" ammount of peoples going to buy stuffs within this week itself so therefore it's pointless to give much discounts except Jusco are the ones losing out biggrin.gif

AEON Member's Day is held at one AEON store each time.
Usually runs for 1-2 days only.

Eg.
http://www.offerstation.com/sales-warehous...ukit-tinggi.htm
http://www.offerstation.com/sales-warehous...-mid-valley.htm
http://www.offerstation.com/sales-warehous...dar-puchong.htm
http://www.offerstation.com/sales-warehous...wangsa-maju.htm

Best to avoid these locations when they have the sale as the traffic in that area is GILA

Do you really need to post the same short question in 4 different threads ? And you really didn't know where to apply for AEON card ??

Anyway, I see that Human Nature has answered your question here. And to apply for credit card, just go to the bank straight. Posting such same question in several different threads in a matter of minutes is considered spamming. Doing this again and you will get a warning for sure!
