Aeon Card Or previously named as J-Card is quite a very useful card if you DO shop inside Jusco General Merchandise Store (GMS), and not up to the full usefulness if you shop @ supermarkets only smile.gif

T&C of Cash Rebate

3% rebates are given based on total amount, and will only be credited when the total amount is in Blocks of RM10. (Non-Sales Period is 5%, But HARDLY can find Non-Sales Period), All time (sales or not sales) 3% rebates are given to purchase in Eletrical/Eletronical areas

Minimum Spending of RM500 at least to get the rebates...

The period is based on Semi-Annual Collection (Jan - June) / (July - December) Where after the particular period, you could collect at the next 6 months.

_____________________________________________________________________________

RM2500 purchase at GMS stores 3% rebate = RM75 Rebates In Voucher

Purchases are Made Within the first half Year of 2011. (January 2011-June 2011)

On July 2011, You Could Collect the RM70 Vouchers On July Itself, Up to December 2011.

I'm Not sure if they Honour RM5 Vouchers to be collected, but what i have told is they only accept in Blocks of RM10.

This is just Rebates for the vouchers, I still haven't put in the Points Rebates, where RM1 = 1 point earned on this case.

The best conversion would be RM20 Vouchers for 2500 J-Points. = Literally 0.8% rebate

So lets say with the same Sample.

RM2500 Purchase at GMS stores with 3% rebate + J-points 0.8% rebate = 3.8% total rebate = a total of RM95 (RM5 not sure if can collect or not) of Jusco Vouchers.

So lets Combine with Maybank 2 cards with 5X TP and 5% rebates on weekends

Since the total "Length is 6 months, you could get up to RM125 Cash Rebates, as Every Month is capped at RM50 @ a total of RM300 for 6 months)

5X TP Points conversion is 2.5% in voucher format.

Rm2500 Spending = 3% rebate in vouchers + 0.8% in J-points + 2.5% rebate for TP Points Conversion + 5% Cash Rebate = 11.3% Rebates! smile.gif

If Groceries, then need to minus out the 3% rebate in vouchers as the vouchers are only applicable for GMS products.

3 Years validity date on the J-Points.

Free Parking (Very applicable as Supermarket purchase could go up to 1 hour ++ ) up to Two Hours smile.gif

Annual FEES (Must Pay)

Change from old card to new card is FOC Till 30th April~
user posted image

Annual Fee of RM12 per year. With Current promotion it's recommended to renew up to 3 Years once your card is almost expired...
user posted image
calculated based on per year basis.
user posted image
If lets say you renew for 3 years For just RM24, you will get 300 points immediately. and For 1 forumer that manages to get FOC Pen,i got myself 2*keychain, 1 for myself and 1 for my dad~ Didn't get the Entertainment token or whatsorts thou sad.gif

This one is Tricky~ i managed to ask my friend who are a Frequent Poslaju visitor (He everytime are forced to pay Rm1 parking as he parks more then 1 hour waiting for postage services for almost everyday), and asked him to apply 3 years... He gets 300 points for renewal + 100 Points for Member get member... while i also get the same 400 points instead of a mere 100 points.. it maybe happening only for me... but.. meh~ 300 points extra is goodie~ biggrin.gif

You Can even get Rebates on Electrical Appliances areas (Home Centre) up to 3% Rebate.

And for how i Calculate 0.8% Rebate

user posted image

T&C of Cash Rebate

Every ringgit spent in JUSCO (AEON) will be converted to 1 point.

Points expiry date: 3 years from the year points were accumulated.

Eg. Points for purchases made in year 2010 will expire on 31 December 2013

RM1 = 1 Point

RM20 Voucher = 2500 J-Points

0.8% Rebates based on the voucher rates. may be lower or higher if exchange with lower value Vouchers.

More details on it's rebates and Points redemption information.

IMHO ... it is the only credit card in Malaysia to be avoided.
There are other better cards out there which offer better promotions and more importantly better managed than Jusco cards.

Myself and a couple of people got their payments lost. Jusco card refuse to acknowledge payment had been made and force me to pay twice.

So TS ... are you sure you want to promote this card ?

hye, I think TS talking about J Card and not Aeon Credit Card. JCard annual fee RM12 and supp card FREE.

I got J Card too (use together with Credit Card), don't know how the points system works but every year I get rewarded with vouchers (not from points redemption). Only 2 week ago, went to renew my J Card and found out that I can get RM50 vouchers at Customer Service.

Thanks to boonykun, now I know that we ger rewarded 3% rebate for purchases at JJ and that does not include the 0.8% from J Card points. Anyone can confirm TS's comments.

Best time to get anything (especially big ticket items) in on J Card day. In addition to getting reward points and further discount, we get RM10 voucher for every RM100 spent smile.gif

Being a regular Aeon patron, what I like about J card is you can use it to pay for the parking fee for the 2nd hour, which would be RM1 otherwise. Also, in certain restaurants in Aeon, you may present the card to waive the tax (forget GST or service charge).

But you have to fork the annual fee of RM 12 if I remembered correctly.

Too bad that I'm not a frequent Jusco shopper.

Personally, I feel that things sold at Jusco are slightly more expensive compared to the other three.

Sorry folks ... the first card that came to mind when TS mentioned Jusco was that Aeon card. Guess ... I really hate that card that much.

Not everything. Look for those products with Promotion tag by Jusco.

Those promotional items last for quite some time. Same goes to the other Hypermarket. It's the promotional item that's worthwhile. tongue.gif

I got Tesco card too and I do shop at TESCO, but the cash voucher I get from TESCO is like RM1 or RM2 rclxub.gif

Taking the supermarket aside, JJ is a departmental store whereas TESCO is a hypermarket, different category and market segment. And on J CArd Member's day, the JJ will be jam packed, can even cause traffic jam at FEderal Highway for the MidValley outlet.

So anyone can confirm boonykun's comment on the 3% and 0.8 csah back?

I have a J-Card too but i never got any voucher from them. I use the card to buy mooncake mainly. The discount i can get is huge. The normal RRP is already about RM4 cheaper than the one in Kota Kinabalu and Jaya Jusco gives extra RM8 - RM10 discount to J-Card members. The total savings i get from buying mooncake at Jaya Jusco Mid-Valley is more than RM100 thumbup.gif J-Card also entitles you to some extra discount at the department store (sometimes and for certain items only).

One of the restaurants is Jonny's Steamboat at 1Utama. I only discovered this from a friend recently, because there's no sign whatsoever in the restaurant that says you'll get 15% off (or was it 10%?).

You are talking about discount on J card partner, I think it's different from 'Service tax/gov tax waiver' mentioned by Human Nature.

For this, depending on how you purchase the mooncakes, Or HOW EARLY you want to purchase yr mooncakes, it MAY be cheaper to just use the voucher + j-card (Normally Vouchers for moon-cakes are at RM45 cash for a total of RM50 mooncake value) where you will be saving 10% directly from voucher itself, and not depending on any rebates from Credit cards, and further save by having a J-card and get more discount based on members price.

RM50 Mooncake Vouchers normally don't stay for long, where like you will need to purchase the vouchers 1 month before moon cake festival, else there's ALMOST no chance for you to get it.

above does indeed helps a lot. thanks. I know that Electrical have different cash rebate but never bothered to find out how much or T&C.

Not too bad, we get 5% for GMS during non sale period.
When there's a sale, who cares, we get better discount tongue.gif But seriously, on top of the sale we do get 3% cash rebate smile.gif

Now I know why I got the cash voucher, I bought a Scholl shoe end of last year and that most probably made my total expenditure at JJ department store more than RM500 in the last half year. Must make note that need to spend RM500 half yearly to get cash rebate from JJ.

I always buy the mooncake voucher as soon as it becomes available. So, the savings is huge. Imagine this, i can save as much as RM16/box. You West Malaysians are so lucky man biggrin.gif
