you might want to pay attention to HTC Evo 3D and HTC Pyramid,
both have similar spec and are going to be the upcoming flagship devices from HTC, one of them ought to make it to Msia market
Otherwise I would resort to Samsung instead of Moto, Samsung Galaxy S II, which is another beast of a phone

based on your description, maybe a HTC Desire S

works fine right out of the box, have all the basic functions
smooth OS even without dual core cpu,
stock with Sense UI, functional and pretty UI
plus aluminium unibody, good build quality helps take a beating

also HTC releases OS updates consistently

high end IMO is at least dual core cpu + 1gb / 512mb ram by today's standard,
which Desire S doesn't have, its still the 2nd Gen Snapdragon,
good enough to make the phone snappy and smooth, but not for dual core optimized games,
at best the Desire S is just a very good mid end.

BB is not an Android phone, and this is a Android phone recommendation thread.

Galaxy S 8GB AP set cheapest can get for RM1.4k+, if 2nd hand maybe near 1.2k~1.1k

if front camera is a must then SE Arc is out, so its SGS vs IS, and IMO IS is better

otherwise, if you can sacrifice front camera, then IMO Arc is better

web browsing & email is piece of cake for either of them laugh.gif

IS is better in terms of camera, both front and back camera has better quality compared to DS
also, it has slightly larger screen compared to DS

DS is better in terms of built material, unibody aluminum design
which gives a sturdier back cover, and also a more premium feel compared to IS

overall it depends on user's preference here, both are equally as good IMO

Locked bootloader means that you can't flash custom rom. Custom ROM are stuff made by developers instead of the manufacturing company. For example, people with unlocked bootloader on a HTC Desire HD already has 2.3 gingerbread Mod but HTC has not announced the official 2.3 gingerbread.

actually I would pick Nexus S rather than DS/IS, but that's just me tongue.gif

the developer scene for Nexus phone is always the best

if you're getting a new phone, but don't want dual core, IMO go for Nexus S,
stuff you'd miss out on isn't that significant anyway.
its only being overshadowed by the dual core hype,
other than that its a very fine phone.

so far only games make use of the dual core proc, even then its only a few games,
currently there aren't many dual core phones yet, thus the software side isn't geared towards dual core yet
that might change in the coming future though

for general usage, the Desire S can handle it just fine, its as smooth as it gets,
however, it wont be getting HTC's latest UI, Sense 3.0

if you're not obsessed with having the latest and greatest, then you don't really have to wait for Sensation, you won't lose out much actually

btw, HTC's dual core phone is inevitable, I mean every manufacturer has announced their dual core phones,
what makes HTC wants to be left behind? its just a matter of time for HTC to announce theirs
HTC Pyramid's (codename for Sensation) rumors has already been out since January this year.. so it didn't actually "suddenly appear" tongue.gif

you're only looking for buyers, you did not provide any form of information regarding DHD.

if what you did was acceptable in this thread, then everyone who are selling phones can just come here and do just that.
then this thread wouldn't be a "recommendation thread" anymore.

what you should have did was at least, provide your own opinions regarding your DHD, and share your experience using it,
and not just "DHD for 1.6k, any takers?", besides your sig is already obvious enough, any constructive post from you would have helped selling your DHD.
