In my case the staff used an MBF terminal.
IMHO when it comes to competitive pricing Viewnet and Jayacom are on top of my list. I check their pricelists regularly online. There is no minimum spending required to swipe at Viewnet whereas at ALL IT the minimum is RM50.

Here's what I bought at Viewnet on that day, with the listed prices.

CORE I5 2500 RM624
MSI P67A-C45 B3 RM469
SILVERSTONE STRIDER PLUS 500W RM319
WINFAST GTS450 RM399
COOLER MASTER RC692 ADVANCE RM339

Total RM2150, but after discount it's RM2080, plus the 5% weekend Maybank2Amex cashback, which is just another RM20 or so because I've used up the rest of the monthly quota  rclxm9.gif

That is why I'm baffled with the story of the guy I quoted (supervisor at one of the viewnet branches didn't let him use amex sweat.gif  ).

do they impose u surcharge? 2% something like that?

He was too concerned with the Buy1Free1 stuff LOL.

How many of you have patronized Starbucks more frequently than previously since the launch of Buy1Free1? How do you view this promo? Is this a trap to make you spend more unwittingly?
*

Definitely Starbucks Malaysia is getting higher revenue unti 31 Oct 2011... I wonder if this offer is valid in KLIA.
*
well, revenue definitely will shoot up, but earning before interest and profit will not increase most probably..

the reason amex can use and cannot use is because those cashier not aware of u using amex. sometimes, they might given instruction that don't swipe amex for customer. i encounter at same bhp station, 1 time they say rejected, another time i pretend dunno and give them amex again, and it's work.

Does Amex charge an admin fee for auto debit?

LOL !!! how about like this. u use ur amex to buy the chip, then use the chip to convert to cash. Its like borrowing money from genting.
*
the chip need to roll once only can change cash. if u want to change to cash, go to table, bet both odd/even or big/small or red/black etc 50% 50% games la. makesure u not tempted and play it lo if u wish to do that.

Added on June 23, 2011, 11:47 ami easily gain 100k pts in a month. whether u believe it or not.

that mean u are not losing or gaining ? just want to change the chips into cash ?
*
yeap, the chip u purchase through retail transaction is call non-negotiable chip. u need to convert to cash chip in order to change to cash. to convert to cash chip, need roll once, that's it. but if u not a gambler, better don't do this. u just tempting urself to lose. only for gambler who really play la. plus going genting need expenses. got limit to purchase those chip de, 1 week 3 times only and maximum per purchase is 3k (low season) or 6k (peak season). if they no limit this, i could have gain 100k pts in a day rolleyes.gif

ermm.. if step on sh1t n very unlucky hoh.... buy odd and even.. open 0(zero)... money kena sapu....
buy big and small.. open triple... also kena sapu...

u will ask... so unlucky mehh.. .well gambling is like this ga tongue.gif when u least expect.. u think u beat the system... uncle lim will sit there and laugh..... for your info there's no 50-50 game in genting. casino war is the closest. baccarat got the banker win 0.5 on six.

anyway back to the topic... no additional charges converting cash into playing chips with amex? considered purchase transaction or cash advance(amex can cash advance?)... cuz cash advance charge is quite high

errr how to buy ah? go to which counter?
*
bro, that's why i told, if u not a gambler, don't do that. anyway, why not u play baccarat with commission? if open player no commission, open banker u lose 5% as commission on that stake only.

got 2 counter only attend this which are counter inside IR and first world mezzanine floor (non-smoking zone). i know u may wonder whether got 5% cash advance charges, the answer is NO, because this is retail transaction. same as u purchase something at KLCC. For some big punter, u purchase will get discount somemore, eg. u pay 95 to get 100 chips. but of course, i share this to those who did gamble at genting 1 la, using amex to buy chip better than use cash right? u use cash play u lose then u lose the cash and gain nothing, but if u put the cash to amex and use amex purchase, if u lose, u lose the cash but u gain the point + cashback (if u haven't hit RM50 cap). if u not gambler u just skip this.

Added on June 23, 2011, 4:39 pmbtw, the closest is BJ, next is pontoon then baccarat and roulette. casino war will never be closer as u thought. go study and u know why.

Added on June 23, 2011, 4:44 pmand also if genting give u more other than the chip, what do u say, u lose the 5% commission u still worth it. see the drill.

Added on June 23, 2011, 4:46 pmagain, to gambler only. non-gambler pls just skip this.

how much minimum can buy?
*
no minimum and no maximum. depend on the season, if low season (sun to friday) is 3k, peak season (saturday and the day b4 public holiday) is 6k. can buy once a day, 3 times a weeks whichever come first. if u planning to stay thr with ur family and u did gamble, just call and book it early in advance, also use amex to proceed the booking (RM500 deposit pay through amex also through phone). u entitle 2 night stay at luxury hotel and buffet meal, for the buffet meal go coffee terrace, the best among all the other. normally customer walk in coffee terrace need pay about RM60++ per person for dinner. u get it free here.

Added on June 24, 2011, 1:17 pmbtw, the points gain from amex can use it on maybank point fair that organized by mbb? sometimes i see mbb organize this kind of point fair, to redeem stuff at lower points.

what do you mean by 'need roll once'? meaning u need to place the chip to bet?
*
coz the chip u buy is non-negotiable chip. this chip only issue at the cashier when u purchase and is not exchangeable to cash. when u place the bet, u lose, the dealer take ur chip, when u win, they give u cash chip (can change to cash). Eg. u bet 3k on banker, u win, they give u 3k cash chip, so total u have 3k cash chip 3k nn chip. 3k cash chip can change to cash, nn cannot change to cash still. so this game roll i will say a bit slow.

in another example, u play roulette, instead of buy big/small, u buy 18 number, which is 1 to 18 at RM100 per number. if u lose, 1.8k gone, if u win, then they pay u 3.5k cash chip, so total u have 100 nn chip, 3.5k cash chip. as long as it is nn chip, cannot change to cash, that's why they call it non-negotiable chip.

Added on June 25, 2011, 8:19 ambtw, if u really gamble, only take ur amex and buy this coz really worth it. if u just wanna earn point by converting nn to cash, u better don't do that. once u in the casino, everything change, include ur perspective over gambling. maybe starting u tempted to play and u win and i'm quite sure u slowly will sick of it. tiny tsunami can wipe out all ur saving / credit card limit.

buy the program on the spot itself ? for that one min is rm3k right ?

Yes, on the spot. just tell them walk-in. the 1.45% charges affirm to me that u're doing cash advance over genting cashier. premium programme is retail transaction, i had done like N times liao. see the drill.

Added on June 27, 2011, 7:33 amno min. and max. as i said b4. low and shoulder season is 3k, peak season is 6k. saturday purchase is 6k, the day b4 holiday also is 6k. the rest of the day is 3k. walk-in normally don't have room given to u, is subject to availability. normally genting full house de everyday. if u want room, better call and book. normally i walk-in take chip only. after play then ciao. u still get the buffet meal anyway.

Added on June 27, 2011, 7:39 amthis is the good way of using cc over cash (of course need self-control). don't ever use the credit while u have no cash to play. normally after the transaction i will bank in the cash into it if u see my drill closely.

sharing is caring ma, lol... laugh.gif

btw, what i share is just like a double edged sword. it can definitely benefit u if u use it properly or vice versa it can bring u disaster if u abuse it. rolleyes.gif

no minimum and maximum. is either 3k or 6k depending on which day u purchase. low/shoulder season is 3k (Eg. Sunday to Friday). peak season is 6k (Eg. Saturday or the day before holiday). so far this premium programme is offered until end of this year. may extend but not confirm yet.
