Helo..greetings from Sandakan, Sabah

I don't know how many AMEX users in Sandakan, but just want to list down  place in Sandakan that accepts AMEX. Doing my part here in Sabah

Petrol- So far only Shell at Mile 2 (near Bandar Maju) accepts. Shell in Sandakan town & before Mile 4 doesn't.

Will add more if available.

Depends on the shop selling the lamp you want... unless it's Aladdin's lamp

Oh, those lamps, just buy at any electrical shop - CASH. It's much cheaper than buying through CC at hypermarket/branded electrical shop.

Else, you can try compare the price at hypermarket, they have a section selling lamps/bulbs, but may not have the full extensive range of models - confirm can Amex.

Or if you plan to buy bulk, you may try pasar road electrical shop. Some may accept Amex but 99% sure charge extra.

Want to ask about Autopay. Is it correct thread to ask?

Recently after sign with Maybank2Card I straight away sign the autopay form. All working well accept for TNB. According to CS at AMEX, they will charge in 2-3 days after the company sent to them the bill. The problem that I face there is always a penalty on my TNB bill due to late payment. I dont know who's fault. It has been two month. Others company like Telekom and TMnet is working well as I can see the amount charge to my account after a week the statement bill.

Anyone face the same problem with TNB?

I transfer my TNB auto-pay from Amex-Gold-CC to MBB-2-Amex by filling up and submitting the form all over again.
The first payment may take time and unsure, so if it pass the date, I manual pay first, rather than receive the pink-bill.
Later double deduction, let it contra in coming 1-2 months.
Submission is through fax.
Working fine/smooth so far, no issues.

I think to use Amex auto-pay, will need to sign-up through Amex.

Visa = 1x TP
Amex = 5x TP brows.gif

i almost experienced same thing as u did.
in fact, i asked here b4, someone said for autopay approval, it might take up to 30 days.
so u were supposed to pay ur latest month bill manually 1st b4 mbb approved your autopay and not wait for 2 months for their approval.
it's written in the form/website if not wrong the 30 days period. so i think u r at fault here for not reading, at least i asked here!

Actually common sense prevails.

If late 1 month, don't pay yet, still ok, it accumulates to 2nd month bill for those TNB/water/tel+internet.

If 2nd month, comes pink-bill, still wait kah ? doh.gif
Common sense, go pay up at least the previous 1 mth bill, or pay both months bill manually first.
Then follow up with auto-pay status.

Cause if cut/disconnected, imagine the inconvenience to goto CS, pay penalty/re-connection fee, somemore no water/electricity/tel+internet at home.

Remember, we are in M'sia, many things are still not efficient/fast.
