4830TG has throttling issue. it has been confirmed by multiple reviews and many users in NBR

the cpu will slow down to 1.2ghz when you push both the GPU+CPU in benchmarking and in heavy gaming. the reasons for throttling is due to really low triggering temperature / power and poor heat management for the GPU+CPU combination.

however, i didnt see anyone discuss about it here in LYT. everyone just simply gaga over the slim profile and its blue color. 

Guys, how do u guys use this laptop since the battery is not detachable? Always plug in the cable or recharge when battery power gonna empty ?

that's my battery wear level, i just bought my laptop on 26/6/2011, look at the battery wear now. lol. i suspect it happens because yesterday i charge my laptop using the shut down method, i left it for about 4 hours after it has already full i think, then suddenly my battery wear drops that much. before this my battery wear is always 0.00%. haihh.. 

yeap, that's why.. why don't you try shut down charging method and see whether your battery wear level drops? 

guys, 14' screen will very small or not if compare with 15.6' 

U need to apply this

1.Download the Windows version of binary codec pack for MPlayer.

2.Extract these files from the .zip archive: cook.dll, pncrt.dll, sipr3260.dll, drv33260.dll, drv43260.dll
3.Put those files in this folder: C:\Windows

just download the zip file for ur os, then copy cook.dll, pncrt.dll, sipr3260.dll, drv33260.dll, drv43260.dll and paste at c:\windows, u having problem with ur RMVB file due to no audio, after apply this will be fine

i changed the global settings for graphics to nvidia processor but when i play movies with windows media player and clear.fi it didn't show they are using the gpu. how can i do that?

I use Real Alternative 2.0.2 and i got no problem playing real file using MPC..

tried that but still it didn't use the gpu. only when i play games and use firefox it switch to gpu. others can't

Does it matter? I made some research, mostly said nowadays 5400 & 7200 HDD is the same in terms of power consumption.

I regretted buying mine cause its 15.6". I need a 14" for university life.....now can't bring to uni anymore, so big...

just used this laptop for 3 weeks, no games at all, just do some works and some movies, music. and now look at my battery wear level. so fast gone up to 7.07%!  [attachmentid=2334566]

use it for a month, and my wear level already reach 8.5% now.. so, do i need to bring the laptop to acer or not? damn... the wear level so damn high already. cycle charge only 17.. fucuk acer.

yeap, i'll do like kyu85 says, just used it for a few months, then if it still got worst, send it to acer. as i recalled battery warranty only cover within 6 months period of time. right guys?
