Just bought the laptop last week  although it's heating up too much,50+ CPU temp with just normal browsing, is that normal? :/

Good to know im not the only one facing this problem =) but compared to other laptops its quite high right?maybe cuz of the SB processor...

The person who sold it to me say I don't have to charge it switched off for 2.5 hours. They said can use straight away, because these are new types of batteries. Can anyone confirm?

download the BIOS from acer website. the downloaded RAR file will contain instructions on how to update.make sure dat ur batter is fully charge. dont want anything bad happen when there's no power.

Windows flash, well, flash inside Windows environment..

with lowest brightness, wifi off internet via wired, windows updating on background, torrent download, itunes downloading podcast and doing assignment,

can we still plug power supply even battery fully charge.do this can reduce life baterry or not.

Well, they have the same purpose, but the old way is DOS method and more reliable since in Windows environment, there always a chance of interruption by antivirus or such..

i dont know because the time keep changing one, sometime i get 1hour and 40minutes on 15% 

By DOS is better..
But if lazy, use the Windows version.

i simply use the windows (.exe) one. simply click only.

Acer is the best at putting good hardware specs with very low prices. Then again, one problem for me that I have observed is the software part of things.

Case in Point : The 4830TG I got. Right off the bat :-

1. NVIDIA drivers were not installed. At all. Found out when I started loading the NVIDIA demos for show, but all of them having errors indicating that the drivers were not there. Had to install it myself.

2. Bluetooth drivers were not installed automatically. Same as above.

3. Somehow or rather, the default Atheros Wifi drivers prevents certain WIfi routers to allow connection to the internet. Connects to the wifi network fine, files can be transferred through wifi to another computer on the network, but the computer cannot connect to the internet. Had to go and find another driver.

Btw what's up with the 3g drivers at Acer.com.my website? Does our version supplied with 3g features ? =P

um... if u truly believe wat the salesman said, im sorry, ur being conned...u can check the allegedly 3G simcard slot at the back of the laptop, its on the right side, near the  "P" button. there's a sealed compartment. most likely for the 3G modem.

im playing PES2011 with my 4830tg.. i dont think im playing it with gt540m.. how to change the graphic from intel to nvidia ehhh? because NVIDIA gpu activity is none.. help me..
