I'm currently still using my Acer Timeline 4810TG at the moment, no problem so far after 2 years of usage, just got my bonus recently, was thinking of buy iPad 2 but the model for iPad 2 32gb Wifi now cost around Rm2600  shocking.gif  with that much of money I can straight away buy this new Timeline X model  sad.gif
*
Its sad that still alot of people are being skeptical on Acer TimelineX hmm.gif
Glad to hear that yours is still going strong thumbup.gif
Well, you can't really compare a tablet and a laptop? tongue.gif

Was in Lowyat, took a closer look at 4820TG, the demo unit has no power cry.gif so, i cant really test the actual strength of the unit... captured some photo:

Had the chance to touch and feel the new TimelineX 4830TG at lowyat plaza today laugh.gif
Man the laptop really looks good~
Below are some of the photos I took (again, sorry for poor photo quality):

As shown in the brochure, I'm pleased to say that the laptop really looks splendid in reality~

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Keyboard & Palmrest. The keyboard buttons are really good, a very big improvement from the previous styling. Typing feel is good and accurate, love the slightly tight keyboard feedback laugh.gif
I wonder why the "\" and "Enter" buttons are fused together, it sorts of ruin the whole design. Similar to most of Acer's keyboards, the Arrow keys are abit too small for my taste, people with larger fingers may have problems during gaming LOL laugh.gif Very slight to almost non-existent flexes on the keyboard thumbup.gif But the center portion of the palm rest (around the touchpad) creaks loudly when pressure is applied, which is rather unwelcomed sweat.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Placement of ports. Heat vent's on the left side. On idle mode its not hot at all but I din't have the chance to test how hot it can become. The VGA port and the ethernet port would be better if they're placed at the back of the laptop, or at least placed at the back portions of the sides...

Managed to test the speakers of both the TimelineX 4830TG and Asus A43Sv... at 100% volume, the sound is average only. And I'm not sure whether its me but the sound seems to be louder on the right speaker laugh.gif Manage to test a Toshiba NB520 netbook as well, the harman/kardon speakers are louder and clearer than both the 4830TG and A43Sv, I've to admit I'm a bit surprised laugh.gif

Front part of the laptop. Looks like a SD card reader. No idea about the others laugh.gif and you can probably see that the touchpad buttons seemed unsymmetrical sweat.gif

Surely the A43Sv speakers should be better than the A42 series right?

And there's 2 jacks for the mic and earphones now thumbup.gif

Those pics really poison me liao, now need to save enuf $$$ to buy. A43SV also looks nice. So many lappys over there, WOW!!!
*
Yea, the A43Sv looks nice laugh.gif
But the keyboard buttons, even though chiclet-styled, are not very good (at least not as good as the TimelineX 4830TG) when typing... the keys are abit too "shallow"- they only have a rather short distance to "sink" if you know what I mean doh.gif
Oh ya, there's an Asus NX90 as well on the top floor thumbup.gif

Yo guys, just wondering how does the Nvidia 's GT540M stacks up against AMD's HD6630? hmm.gif
As the Dell Vostro3450 (i5-2410M + AMD HD6630@RM2617) seemed like a formidable competitor hmm.gif
Comes with 6-cell battery, not sure whether its integrated or not hmm.gif

Yea, love the design as well... looks very un-Acer-rish laugh.gif
The only setback would be the built-in battery and the creaky palm rest sad.gif
