You can get Blanco at several places. Even Signature Kitchen carries them. I got mine recently for my new house at Top Idea (Jalan Ipoh) and they have branches elsewhere too. Their price during promotion like Homedec is good.

My current house has Blanco Metra 9 and Subline. We are so happy with Metra 9 that we bought the same for the new house.

Depends on which model you are using and what price u are getting ... my subline is 500u for dry kitchen. Small enough size to clean wine glasses, small utensils etc. I like the sink in my dry kitchen to be small for look. It didn't need to do heavy washing. 700u much bigger but Metra 9 is probably better value if u want double sink in wet kitchen. Single bowl has simple and neat look though. It is personal preference

I stand corrected on the % composition of Blanco granite.  It is 80%.  20% is Blanco's resin.  As a owner of Blanco, I can only tell you that pouring hot water into the sink is not a problem to the sink but it is generally advised not to do so because there are rubber/plastic attachment to the sink that may be damaged by very hot water.  I have done that when I was young and stupid but the sink still ok.  Also, I have put my wok/frying pan directly on the Blanco sink immediately off the stove and into the sink with no issue.  I challenge you to do so with your IKEA?

Acrylic is acrylic.  If you dont believe go and google sinks with acrylic content and see some of the feedbacks. 

Lastly Blanco is more expensive but it is not double the the price of IKEA's if you can wait for the sales and Blanco does have sales from time to time.

Usually Blanco has some promotions during festive holidays and home furnishing event such as Homedec. Unfortunately Homedec is delayed to end of Apr due to pandemic (and may be further delayed again). Look out for these type of events and they may have sales.

If you plan to buy European brand fixtures, I suggest you buy from Amazon.de. Almost 50% cheaper than discounted price here if you buy in larger quantity (more than 3 items). For example, my Grohe faucet costed me additional RM230 only (on top of other items I bought), when it is selling here for RM999. If I buy only the faucet, probably around RM650 including shipping and taxes, still cheaper than RM999.

why buy from amazon? Local also got mah.. No meh?

If they already charged you import fees deposit, then the price would be final. If the tax charged by local custom is higher than that, Amazon will absorb the excess. If no import fees deposit collected, then you have to pay the custom charges yourself.

I recently purchased few items from Amazon.de recently, with the most expensive item priced at RM1400 (total package was around RM1900) and no import fees collected. I was anxious waiting for the shipment fearing that custom will tax me. In the end DHL sent the item with no tax collected

The other purchase was around RM1200 in total, and no tax collected.

One more purchase was around RM900 from Amazon.com, and no tax collected as well.

All above purchase were in Feb-March 21. I guess everything depends on your luck. But then, if import fees deposit collected, you don’t have to worry at all.
