hmm it cant?? well most people here are using custom roms which already is rooted, or they flash speedmod kernel which will automatically root the phoen, ans superoneclick have serve me well, try to look on how to root in first page. im usre there are few option you can try.
yes, i have try it on kies, and also have upgrade it with kies,  but you need to install spooffw to your phone cause as you may read, that release is for europe, so you have to "trick" kies in seeing your as a europe phone.

but im very dissapointing with their gps, so now im jump to MIUI
