To use iPad with Yes, you need the Huddle or Zoom, so I assume it's the same with iPad 2.

Basically it's up to the user requirements. Most phones can only create ad-hoc network when providing WiFi tethering. For most people it's okay, but for people who also use DS or PSP where the device will only support infra network, it's mifi or phone that can create an infra network, or no way.

It's a third party Mifi program for WinPhone and Symbian handsets. Nokia bundles a demo copy on some of their Wifi-enabled phones (which is bengang because they could've bundled the lite version which is fully free instead). Either way, Joikuspot will only create Ad-Hoc hotspots- not suitable for PSP and DS.
