QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ May 25 2011, 04:26 PM)
This is how a property stock can manipulate before going for IPO :-

1) use large bank borrowing to aggressively develop and capture good profit in year 2011/2012/13  to show very good growth,( actually giving tail end effects )

2)  go for IPO at a very good price  using 1) to show supportive good results

3) using IPO ( money from the public ) to pay back bank loans

4) Thereafter in Year 2014, company performance drops drastically. Small investors start to cry while big shots offload their shares long before the arrival of Year 2014.

IB should also play a part on how to maximise these strategies.

Just my view.
*
If that is the fomula for a good IPO so be it...
It all the same ... we buys if we think that there will be a buyer that want to pay extra...
Most ppl don't say that " I will only sell above 5.00. because the value is 5.00 "
Most ppl like me I will sell at any value above 2.90 because I pay 2.90 and i don't know the real value.
That is just my view.

That why I applied for 50 lots

QUOTE(noswear @ May 28 2011, 07:32 PM)
actually not to be racist here....

dun u guys notice sth ah....

everytime...the public subscription rate is always higher than the bumi.....

and other cases ie purchase of new house...normally public portion all sapu and left only bumi lot....

but i believe.....bumi is the major race here right??....

shouldnt it be sapu at the same rate also or most bumi not interested to invest?
hey no offence...

just out of curiousity...
*
I understand that the allotment was decided by th Board of Directors on the adviced of the management . In most cases most or the Members of the Board and the management are non Bumi.
I think, if you are not too happy you should write to them and ask why allocated that way or attend the AGM and ask.

40k ? drool.gif Rich guy! tongue.gif
*
Don't say rich la as I am not...
May be I bought a bit more because I like to take a bit higher risk...
The next time, when you want to purchase the IPO you should ask ... Can I still afford to apply for another lot.
If you already can't you should ask again how can I get the extra money to apply.
Knowing that applying for a bigger block will give you an extra probability.

i think for MSM no need to apply IPO.sure it will drop like UOA and you can buy on the first day tongue.gif
*
This is overprice from the beginning for a 0.05 par share. Big adjustment by the booking..so dont look good from the beginning.
MSM is in a different business also at a difference pricing..

Hahaha

Just reading this thread makes me laugh out loud and realise

How moronic our retail investors actually are in Malaysia.  Hahaha, the words like goreng, and KFC even came out.  WHat a joke you guys are.  Genting is just up north if you are looking to gamble.

Wow.. an IPO is for sure going to shoot through the roof when launched ?  U guys should roll back 20 years to the 90s when investors are misinformed

Good, now the lot of you are done with selling your margined and can't afford to lose money.. You will see this stock appreciate to its true value within the next few weeks.

Yes, UOA did some window dressing for its IPO.  But it doesn't change the fact that this stock will be on a lot of institutional player's radar when thinking of property stocks to invest in Malaysia.

Wah !!!!!!
You must be the smart Alex from the outer space who only dine at the 6 stars or 7 stars hotels.
Had never experience the sensation of taking tha Malaysian KFC or McD.
How much do you make last year? 150% or more?
Moronic or not some of us here only make just a bit more than 70% year on year.
If you had not make that much than may be you have to bring yourself back to earth....

Pity those who got stuck.

So based on experience, noted that no way this can breached 2.60.

Not even in 1~2 months in future. Kanasai liao.

Good luck.

My strategy for IPO is always ... out the first day win, draw, or loss.
too many bad experience la,,

Better go and buy MHB

I see it the same way as you.. this 0.05 par get alot of ppl piss off
at 2.50 it is 50 times above the par value.....
It also means that the company don't have to maintain a lot of reserved.
