i'll be the first in line waiting for the new duckies, as it will be my first ever mech k/b.
hoping to get the backlit one, that is of course storm is bringing that in.

I am thinking of getting the backlit one as my first mech kb as well but must see the price first of course haha
*
you guys means full backlit keyboard? for full backlit, ducky doesn't have it, only Razer and Deck keyboard has it for now.

KRO is Key Roll Over, as it means how many key can you press and hold and still get detected. Blackwidow is 2KRO while Filco with USB is 6KRO and Filco USB with PS/2 Converter is NKRO

NKRO means the entire keyboard key is able still able to press and hold to detect every single key being press and hold.

i believe j3tyen did some typo on the 6NKRO thing, it is suppose to be 6KRO

it's possible for me to get for you, but the problem would be space bar can't fit =/

just remember not to damage the circuit board. =X

QUOTE(BlueBerry~ @ Jun 7 2011, 02:09 AM)
BWU is kinda 6KRO. Most parts 6 keys will register. It'll get stuck if you do ZX then C. It'll stop registering after X. So there you go.
*
it's better to tell them the lowest KRO which is 2NKRO, once user made discovery that it is able to attain more than 2KRO, they will think it's a plus and good feeling.

telling them the highest will only leads them to disappointment when you told them it is a 6KRO keyboard while they found one certain combination doesn't work.

Great, but I'm contemplating of changing my keyboard to a Leopold now. Anyone bringing in Leopolds in bulks anytime soon?
*
if you read previous post, i'll be bringing in Leopold, not in terms of bulk, but Distribution, so warranties can be claim by sending to me.

But for now, i'm very busy in the moment for bringing in Leopold. Working Solo quite hard = =

Uhm.... Guys, let's just forget about DT35 thingie, and just continue back our discussion on mechanical keyboards.

i don't want a moderator to settle this war in the end, please.

For Users that are talking about DT35 comparing to Brown Switch, you can discuss it, but please to not taking it off topic.(a comparing to mechanical switch is still in bounds of mechanical keyboard topic).

QUOTE(hydrogen @ Jun 8 2011, 01:58 PM)
wa.. suddenly got flame.

btw.. how true is it that black switches are silent. Are they really much quieter compared to the other switches? blue switches are the noisiest right? I see my friend typing on the BWU..it's pretty loud, and the key placements are abit weird.

Before today i was still considering between 6GV2 (RM340)and BW expert.(RM270),
but I'm leaning towards the 6GV2 now..
I'm pretty budget conscious right now. Will I really be impressed with the 6GV2 over the BWE? It will be my first mech keyboard, but i want it to really suit me..

pretty hardcore gamer, from FPS to RTS to RPGS, but mostly FPS.

I saw some Filcos and others, and I read the first post, but which switch do you all find the most adaptable and comfortable?
*
the experience varies from person to person and we can't actually tell you the most adaptable and comfortable.

Well, for comfortable part, you need to spend more for the leather arm rest tongue.gif

For adaptable, we will actually recommend you try the mechanical keyboard before you buy. Blue if you don't mind noisy, and brown, for typing and gaming.

Red and Black Switch are for users have experience with Blue and Brown, and would know what switch they wanted, since I don't particular suggest you to get Black or Red. But if you know what you wanted to get, you can grab those. Between Red and Black, i would recommend you to grab Red Switch since they are require less force to press and should be more convenient to new users like you because Black sometimes can be tiring for new users.

For Noisy part, i think new users will think every mechanical keyboard is noisy, due to the fact when they use the keyboard, they tends to bottoming out all the keys and resulting a "clack" sound
blue will be like "click" "clack". tongue.gif tongue.gif But Blue is definitely the most noisiest, but the best for typing.

Can someone suggest me a mechanical keyboard that can be bought locally with backlight (apart from Black Widow Ultimate)? smile.gif
*
hello, bro clawhammer, currently for now, there aren't any keyboard with backlight available.

Ducky has released a Full backlight keyboard that are still not yet available to the public yet.

If you seriously wanted to have a Keyboard with Backlight for now, you can do it with modding way. adding LED to each switch, althou that requires alot of works in modding. and new sets of key.

But i plan to do that after clickclack from geekhack release ice keycap, and i plan to buy 104 full set and mod the switch myself at that time =X

hmm, i'm gonna try my luck asking here..

would you guys be interested on keycaps that glows in dark? MOQ should be 50. asking for people that interested.

this provides a good alternative for LED =X

It took me quite fast to desolder these switches, but taking them out was a real pain due to the solder still sticking to the traces. Any pointers on that?

to you have a solder sucker? they are good in removing any leftover solders.

*
the option for ducky warranty is they send you the replacement part, and you have to replace it on your own.

Those keys are very beautiful and totally worth it.
Maybe should do another bulk, but this time include the black on red and white on red 2 shots from SP as well  tongue.gif
*
well, have to take risk.

The minority of the bulk actually have some marking which could be disappointing to picky user like me. since i buy alot and plan to use then as QWERASDV, so i take those instead.

for quality problem that i notice is that, if you look very very very closely, you'll notice some minor to little bit of white line thing, which you can take a look at the previous picture that i posted.

the lines are actually inside the keycap, which is not from scratch cause by other keycap during shipping.

Fuyoo. We can start V3 soon. Anyway, was thinking if there was a company that made laptops with mechanical switches, I'd so buy it. Sadly, its not possible at all.
*
i don't think they will allow it, since people always looking for a slimmer and less bulky laptop for carrying purpose, a laptop with mechanical keyboard would some how aim only at minor community which does not cover the whole community, but still we could always grab a tenkeyless and put on top of your laptop. =D

i want HHKB but their price tag is expensive =X

*mechanical keyboard
*illuminated keyboard/rubber coated
*backlit keylight(all button)
*without macros acceptable

by far, if you want these, illuminated keyboard, there's no illumated keyboard that is cheaper than razer blackwidow.

storm88 has also pointed out that new ducky SHINE keyboard will be RM4XX.

purchase order sent already.

now waiting for goods to deliver here, no ETA yet.

Full Keyboard only for now, since Tenkeyless don't have red switch yet.

but i will monitor the demand here, anyone interested tenkeyless Cherry MX Red switch? because if demands is high enough, china will ships those red switch to taiwan for manufacture purpose. since both full keyboard and tenkeyless manufactured in different location.

For Ducky Shine keyboard, if i remember clearly, Storm88 said it will reach in july. well, i getting my finger crossed.
