QUOTE(sahathai @ Apr 27 2011, 08:47 PM) don't underestimate him, man. He's a scouse. Maybe he dreams to retire as a Liverpool player since he can remember. What makes him to turn around when he's already on his way to Chelsea... if silverware is his only desire? If Liverpool meant nothing to him but just another club. He still want to play even when he shouldn't, when his body can't take it, he always want the ball and try to do works by himself, is it because he hunts for personal glory or is it because he believes in his ability and willing to do the best to help the club? Just my point, thou... agree. if liverpool meant nothing to him like a certain other player who will 101% certain collect the 1 elusive premiership title when this season ends, and the oppotunity to possibly also add the CL (well at least a chance in which we ourselves won't feature in CL in next season & a long way to even dominate europe again in CLcash in on gerrard? at this time, we aren't as desperate like when under rafa & before we had to sell to buy. he was there to stick with us when we were in dire, when we were crippled with short of good players, even half of gerrard > 50 million pounds rated player. yes, he was tempted but he stayed, dumping him means telling him he was wrong in staying with us. To me he got himself to the liverpoolfc hall of fame, rightfully. I wont cash him, his contributions to lfc, to new players & the younger ones is priceless. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ May 5 2011, 03:17 PM) I still don't see why we bought him in the first place if he can't play against the more physical teams in the Premiership, or so I was led to believe. well my guess, earlier this season, we had the 'promising' services of a certain mercurial joe cole.aquilani was probably seen as 'surplus' by RH standards & "fragile". it was probably 'less risk' to off loading him sooner the better. myself too can really blame aquilani feeling "unwanted" or a little "disillusioned" by sending him a plane ticket to juve. well things changed, i don't know how any current lfc player could persuade aquilani to give us another shot. (do we have any italian player apart from aquilani in our current set up?) if aquilani is any sort of a typical italian people i know (couple of friends i know), i'm pretty sure he's made up his mind in staying in italy. |

QUOTE(kamkamparadise @ May 5 2011, 11:18 PM) maybe u can call Roy pile of shit since he didn't do enough for Liverpool but to call Rafa a pile of shit after he delivered 1 UCL trophy, finished 2nd place in EPL with tad bit close of winning the EPL and 1 FA cup trophy is a big mistake. ditto on the comparison.by the way, i read in the Star today that the reason Henry yet to make KD a permanent manager is because KD refusal to let Comolli handling the transfer of players. Apparently KD wanted to manage the buy/sell on his own. if its true, KD too then no different too with then under fire rafa. like in any footballing manager, he should have a say in the players (at least in some expects) that shapes the team. i'm too spectical on the 'comolli' factor in KD's appointment.
if we are returning to the real 'boot room' LFc, yes KD in the capacity of being the manager does have a say. in hindsight, what hfi said does make some sense. & joe cole was from...? *oh gawd* thinking back rub face hougson did have his type of players in (from fulham etc) & look how defeated we were. RH in typical defeatist attitude then did say "it's not my team" This post has been edited by koolspyda: May 6 2011, 05:01 PM |
