hye,

i went to test drive wira 1.6xli auto, but when i test it, all smooth, but the idling troubling me a bit. when i want to park, its like the car want to turn off. then i enter reverse gear, the engine off. why it be like that? TB problem? but the mechanic said the TB already change, just maybe need to retune. any suggestion?

when idling also, after on AC the engine looks like hiccup, macam mau mati mati saja. i heard this is common problem for engine 4g9x, and can fix with new installation box (the toyota ECU perhaps?) to fix the idling.

sry i noob in car, this is my first time want to buy.

guys, i bought 2nd hand wira 1.6xli auto year 1995 recently. everything was fine, but the meter at dashboard kong already. yet, i have strange problem. my friend do tuning at TB there and now, when i switch on my car the rpm will goes up to 2k, then stuck there. if i on air-cond, it will go back to 1.1k. sometimes, when i drive, at trafic light, i put "N" there will have a diff situation such:

1. if no air-cond, the rpm will up and down (erratic idling)
2. with air-cond, the rpm will goes up to 1.5k-2k

then when i put to "D", WITH AC, no problem. it just idling at 1k, (stable). but if NO AC, then the rpm up and down (erratic idling)

so, this mean my TB out already? the FICD test is ok, still working. or this is just my TB dirty or wrong tuning. any1 can help me on this?

p/s:
change roof need to verified with puspakom/jpj after done it? any1 got 'kaki' for this.
sry i noob about car, just know drive and a few things not expert.

Edit:

any one know how much if changing the whole meter board there? seems its pretty useless if only can see fuel and rpm meter. somehow, when night driving really dark coz all mentol mati edy. lol

thanks for the answer. i also dont know the speed cable or the meter itself. how to check? send to workshop then ask them? i already bought from mudah but the meter not working at all. is it my speed cable faulty already? need to change whole dashboard?

guys, i got problem. when climbing hill, my engine become semput. jerking a lot and looks like could die on the street any time. why? because fuel pump or we called 'pelampung' at fuel tank there? sometimes, rpm also up and down, and once a blue moon rpm stay at 2k even idling. gear also not smooth changing. really annoy me. TB already clean up. and this will occur when the car have a little fuel left, otherwise no problem at all. i google, seems like fuel filter clog. where can i find fuel filter for my wira? sry so many question on 1 paragraph.


mine is wira sedan 1.6 auto year 1995.

guys want to ask here, mine already change throttle body 1.5 to perdana sei. driving more smoothly. wonder if can fit perdana v6 throttle body into wira 1.6? just throttle body, exclude the stepping motor. can it be done?

4G15 i dont know. but try at my 4G92P, really really fantastic. previous using 1.5 TB, feel like underpower. change to SEI TB, one word : WOW.

about 10k to 13k, see your engine condition and body. usually, if your gearbox got problem (people will check), -1k. i bought for myself about 12k, 1995 1.6xli auto, the owner got proof show he change the new auto gearbox (re-conditioned) about 1.2k. for auto car, the problem usually is the gearbox and the engine spare part quite cheap so ppl more focus at gearbox

high performance drop-in filter like K&N, oil cooler if yours is auto, change piston ring, new valve (do top overhaul) more than enough. can go >180km/h no problem.

by the way got question, any1 know exact value of compression each piston (if doing compression tester) for 4G92P? seems mine (after crank it) about 200 - 225 kpa

guys, got question here, wira 1.6 disc brake stock or disc brake GSR? which is better and cheaper the spare part also. the difference is stock is PCD100 and the GSR is PCD114. any suggestion?

argh,problem problem. change to new tire today. choose 205-55-16. no sweat, really love to drive with it. but the problem is, everytime i went to bump, the sound screeching will produce. i checked already, front tire hit the fender. and if take corner also will hit the inside of fender. what to do? can 'ketuk' those fender go inside?

thanks bro for the answer. wont waste my money on that. just my problem no handbrake. i think the mechanical inside the caliper broken already. last time send to foreman for servicing the caliper but seems after that handbrake is not working anymore. any clue why?

no no.. my rear caliper last time my foreman service for me. but seems after that, handbrake not working already. he said something to do with the mechanical inside, but its fixable. i dont know also. i try check with other foreman, they said broken already, need to change a new caliper. the problem is at the caliper there, something to do with caliper. when we use handbrake, seems not makan at all.

guys, now im using tire profile 205-55-16 but seems got problem. i saw my tire touch with the spring (the one like piring hitam at the absorber spring there). do i need to put like absorber booster (the one like rubber put at that spring) coz i already put it. can put 2 rubber at 1 spring? or change a new sport spring?
