Valve springs no need to change as stock valve spring can take up to 8000rpm
Pistons are not MIVEC pistons

xxboxx: Compression should be 10:1 tongue.gif Dynojet and dyno dynamics on wheel, Dastek is on engine

Added on August 15, 2011, 8:04 pmforeman told me that those 272/275 camshaft will cause rougher idling and performance gain not much with my 4G13P VDO. He said piggyback would be better choice for me. Any opinion? hmm.gif

*
i heard before they said 1.6 clutch got bigger flywheel and will got more grip for the cluth and will reduces clutch slipping when accelerating fast with Gear 1 from a total stop unsure.gif
Most of the taxi ppl mod this to their Wira, coz they stop and move alot

Need help here, icon_question.gif
I got a set of new Wira 1.5 ventilated disc rotor and I wish to convert my 1.3 solid disc rotor to ventilated. What are the parts that I should get? I tested the original part that the brakepad sit on to cannot fit with the thicker ventilated disc (Is that part called knuckle?). The original 1.3 caliper can use for the thicker disc rotor?
Or do I need to change the whole part that holding the front wheel bearing? hmm.gif

With Great Power Comes Great Brake Responsibility flex.gif

Your Calliper able to adjust to fit in the rotor.. it should be able to use vise versa. Without any mod...
*
I've tried yesterday and the disc rotor could not fit into the another part of the caliper that bolt onto the knuckle where we install the brakepad. cry.gif

Is that u bought d PCD 114.3 Rotor instead of PCD100?

Mitsu running on PCD 114.3 while Proton running on PCD100.... double check
*
correction here~ I was confused with the parts earlier, it can fit into the original knuckle, but not the caliper base.

Added on August 16, 2011, 11:34 ami guess i need to change to whole set 1.5 caliper

Wah!!! i tot all d while 1.3 & 1.5 are same? hmm..in this case..u better upgrade to 1.6 tongue.gif better
*
Not same ler, at first I also thought it was the same. Btw 1.6 caliper bigger? Single pot also rite?

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Aug 16 2011, 12:44 PM)
What I heard is 1.3 & 1.5 caliper are the same.
You DIY or your mechanic the one trying to put the disc?
The piston inside the caliper need to use special tools to push it back inside.
*
I lazy DIY coz weather so hot nowadays, I went to garage let mechanic fix. The piston inside caliper already been compressed inside. The rotor itself cannot be fit into the brakepad holder there even without the caliper doh.gif

maybe the disc too thick? can skimmed the disc?
*
Not the disc problem, confirmed 1.3 and 1.5 calipers are different sad.gif

QUOTE(nelsonlye @ Aug 16 2011, 07:49 PM)
Not a good idea to skim d disc quah? Better get 1.5 Knuckle? hmm like not worth to do such step...hmmm...

Try to sell off ur disc???
*
If skim then need skim around 5mm would be madness rclxub.gif I think it would be better for me to get a set of 1.5 calipers and consider it as an upgrade for me. Since I am driving zig-zag hill road to work every day, and also I blardy pek corner there a lot tongue.gif

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Aug 17 2011, 05:49 PM)
new + install + tuning & dyno = 1.3k - 1.5k
install + tuning & dyno = 400 - 500
so if buy 2nd hand make sure it's really cheap, coz install and tuning not cheap.
otherwise better just buy new coz got 1 year warranty.
also careful when buying as e-manage got fake one.

btw, what mods have you done to your car?
i read from your thread, seem you only want to increase top speed. not so sure piggyback can help you on that.

and dunno true or not e-manage cannot use on VDO ECU, like that maybe look for Works EMS-1 or Perfect Power SMT6/8 or Unichip Q.
*
e-Manange not really compatible with VDO ECU. Cannot set idle rpm also. Alot settings cannot be set. Unichip Q can, but so far not much garage able to tune with it. Luckily my area at Penang got. That day I just asked the boss, he said RM1.8k for a new set + installation + dyno tuning.
