let me update a bit on my high water temperature problem.
some few days ago, drive car to kulai, johor. along the way, water temp still rise during jam. on highway still okie. then on the highway, suddenly my car lamp went 'blackout' (driving at night), then within seconds heard a sound, kaboom.

next thing (without lights) park my car at the highway side. open the hood. smoke coming out from battery ( but battery no explode ), car cant start coz batt now very weak.

tow out. next day checking. 6 fuse blown. batt died. light bulb blow, spotlight blow, rear light blow.. (all the bulb that were okie, now all KO). also alternator KONG!... change all that (RM650), and now temperature sudah okie... weird.. foreman conclude that alternator is the culprit of blowing the fuses and bulb. when the alternator is running, it was charging for some mins, then not charging all for some mins. on and off like that.

but im happy that the weird temperature reading is now no more... but wallet sakit lei...

got one old wira 1.5 auto cab...year 95.. condition still good as the car still able to go genting with 5 ppl in the car... just wondering how much will it cost now if i wanna sell it off??

my fan (aircond) show like melting.. erk.. i don't know, no wonder aircond only cold if i'm driving faster.. (sweat)

any idea how much it will cost me to change it?

Maybe i should try it out next time, is it available in most spare parts shop and how much did it cost you?
I am currently using some shell bull shit. I am driving with a very light foot Gear 3 at 1.5k rpm most of the time 35-40km/h, just to lower down fc

This is normal..for wira 1.5, it can reach longer mileage for 1st bar..my wira can reach 200km for 1st bar,then 100km for 2nd bar,120km for 3rd bar and 130km for last bar.

Mine only go down more after 230km......
530-560km for me is standard, considering average speed is 100km/h and most of the time on start/stop on traffic lights.... Now targeting 600km before the next filling up..... When I can get this target, it will be very hard for me to look for excuse to change car......

Tips to share with other member: The best way to save fuel on 3spd wira is at the speed of 30-35 which is 3rd gear at 1.1-1.5k rpm

How come I cannot achieve those fc ? Mine is half of what you guys get, 1.5 Wira light on foot too. Usually around 300 km, maybe 320-350 km if I push my luck. Or maybe because of daily traffic congestion ? Travelling 10 km distance, did not press gas at all. Well, maybe sometimes but mostly brakes.

1.Isn't engine rebuild like super expensive, but why rebuild engine, everything working? how much does it cost, and how long process? what do they actually do, but engine running.
2.What exhaust setup - 4-2-1 cap apek?+remove catcon+1.7inch piping+sflow? Btw i read that back pressure is good for auto cars, and yet there are those who say remove cat con because it restricts air and create back pressure, is it advisable to remove cat con for auto car

before open pod its already consume this much fuel so it does not make difference to me

haha..I just did my top overhaul..but now engine sound weird..rev until 5000 rpm, inside engine like have friction sound..and when idling..it seems louder and noisy compared before top overhaul and has "mesin jahit" sound

Distributor connect directly to the head part inside. Dont think got plastic thing in between.

Didn't notice got such part when I changed my distributor last month.

So it is from distributor? Guess not a mystery item anymore.

^^Not really, a good rubber seal can help a lot on this....

Well, at least it worked on my car.....
But then my car met with serious accident before on back which it cause some uneven surface, so I can get wind noise from back... But front door after change the rubber seal, it do help a lot. Before change, I can even get outside smell....
That's why, I never trust those so-called sound proof can help... Because a lot of people are stupid enough to get conned by acc shop operators that lurking around here....

agree.. last time i use rubber seal.. ownself think got difference ny.. maybe psychologically think so since pay money for it.. passengers feel no diff.. but after i change sound system, i happy, passengers oso happy  

3k that was worth spending, go slow less noise sounds even better.. so it encourages light foot thus better FC.. 1 stone pawn 2 bird bird..

Sound proofing more or less still does lessen the sound. After I put the cheapo mat on my front bonnet inside, can hear the engine sound do lower a bit.
