hey guys....im shocked to see we're on page 20 of V2 now... f.y.i, im using bakpia for now, using for 3 weeks and quite happy with it.. havent been updating myself with new roms...any good suggestions for me to switch roms?

ok, i just successfully changed the bootanimation.
FYI, I am still using stock 2.1 and I manage to change the bootanimation to something else and change back to CSL stock animation with the steps below.

1. Find a boot animation, in my example I am going to use one I dload off the net (see attachment below bootanimation.zip).
2. You phone must be rooted and has Super Manager (any Root Explorer will do).
3. Connect your phone to usb, mount the card and copy the bootanimation.zip to the root of the card.
4. Unplug USB, start Root Explorer and cut the bootanimation.zip (you will need to paste it into another folder later).
5. Browse to "/hidden/data/Power-on Animation" folder, you must have root access granted to root Super Manager to see this folder, it is hidden by default).
6. There is a existing bootanimation.zip there, rename it to existing bootanimation-csl.zip to backup
7. Paste the bootanimation.zip you copied in step 4.
8. Shutdown your phone.
9. Turn it back on and voila, new bootanimation.

p/s: fyi there is a shell script in "/hidden/data/Power-on Animation" that automatically copies the bootanimation.zip to /local/data. Earlier I was trying to paste into /local/data and it kept getting replaced.

hope this will help you all claim warranty or custom rom freely without worrying about warranty.

SUT give error after all finish..

so how is phantom rev2c,
can play all games nfs shift, angry birds etc?

what error did sut give me?when it prompt reboot on the bar, the phone reboot into clockwork mod recovery, then got error...at official phantom king page, he stated there flash in using sut, but get into recovery mode, not download mode, the prob is, clockwork recovery cant detect phone unlike the original recovery..

U got me wrong, i try to root not for phantom king, but to change the boot screen...
i got no problem flashing phantom king and that India stock rom, done it few times without problem.

now my problem is to get back malaysia csl stock rom, i know u will ask me restore from

i got it and i already try to restore it when i am in phantom king, however the result is FAILED.
it will reboot into recovery mode after i start restore backup from Rom Manager, then there is no related option to choose for the restoration. the options are:
(1: reboot, 2:apply:update.zip 3:wipe data 4: wipe cache 5:download nb0 from sd) something like that lar.
then if continue reboot, it still in phantom king also.

what i haven try is:
1.Rename the 2011-02-11-01.13.zip to update.zip and load from recovery mode

p/s: if got a malaysia stock nb0 how nice~ then can save a lot of works already....

I will advise you not to consider this tablet , cos it is very laggy. A 600 MHz chip powering it . I tested it about half hour when it was last launched at LowYat. For its price, it is better to get the 7" Galaxy Tab ( AP sets now only RM 1700+ while original is RM2.1k). It is still on Eclair 2.1 , not too sure about any Froyo roms for it. The tablet can take in any 3G simcard as long as it is data enabled. Please refer post#1 of the official thread - carrypad has a comprehensive review : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1528978

BTW because of its lower chip, you cannot run flash fully on it

To get back your unit into non- airplane mode is to flash back the stock rom, either through recovery ( if you have make a backup ) or flashing thro SUT the Spice stock rom
After flash, just ensure at settings/wireless & network/mobile network - the selection for Enable always on mobile data is tick
