thanks [PF] T.J. smile.gif Still considering which 1 to pick up during this coming pc fair @.@ So difficult to decide...

If comparing this 2.. It is more worth it to get the i7 with additional 600 bucks ??
*
Well, if the shop ppl are kind enough (which they probably won't be during PC fair because of the hecticness haha, try LYP instead laugh.gif ), you can always ask them to allow you to install Hwmonitor into the display laptops and then you can see the temperatures prior to purchasing laugh.gif

If you don't need the i7 (multitasking, resource consuming programs, serious Photoshop-ing etc.), chances are that you won't need it, i5 is good enough nod.gif

Laptop size? hmm.gif
14 inchers with Full HD is rare.. I think you should be able to find MSI GE620 during PC fair, but I don't think it has FullHD hmm.gif

Apart from the base-line M11x, the others will definitely be more than 4k.... I think the M18x may even hit the RM15k mark laugh.gif

But they are damned fantastic.

However, their battery life for the 18mx would be good? I hope that i won't hear another "around 1 hour battery life" for the new alienware models.
*
Its 18 inch in size, can't expect too much from them haha... 2 hours plus is already very impressive on something that big nod.gif

Acer Aspire 4738, i3-380M + Intel HD@RM1849

wow, RM6999 is way too far @.@ GE620 seems not bad, but N53SN offering GT550M with 2GB ram rite @.@
8GB of RAM @.@ So much RAM for wat usage ?? Super Multitasking ?
*
The 8GB RAM is promotional 1 nod.gif Well, RAMs are quite cheap now, that's why they wouldn't mind giving more lol
Anyway the upcoming M18x can support up to 32GB RAM brows.gif
The GE620 still loses out the the N53Sn despite having 3 years warranty...

mostly college usage , atleast tahan 3 yrs  thumbup.gif
would like to have few model and brand to compare  biggrin.gif
THX biggrin.gif

College usage = ? Any gaming? Preferred laptop size?
Whether a laptop lasts 3 years or not depend on how you take care of it, as well as a little bit of luck nod.gif
Hence for a peace of mind, its better to extend warranties to 3 years~

Personally I think the Toshiba Satellite L745-1049U, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM2099, 2 years warranty (1st year global) is worth it since it comes with OS and 2 years warranty laugh.gif
After bargaining I think its possible to get RM2k...
If not, then try to find and bargain for this 2 models (the price should be much lower now):
IdeaPad Z460, i5-460M + Nvidia G310M@RM2099
IdeaPad Z460, i5-480M + Nvidia G310M@RM2299
