Hi. Does OCBC Platinum card provide free unlimited entries to KLIA PPL?
Saw in their website that they do.
*
Yes, but I think only apply to KLIA PPL only blink.gif

I remember some members here reported that Maybank2 Platinum can gain access to PPL in Kuching.

Any other member have more info on which other PPL can get access? Cant find any info about this card has PPL priviledge from MBB website.

At Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the Plaza Premium Lounge is located at the international departure area after immigration check. So only passengers going overseas from KKIA are able to use the lounge. I am not sure if the lounge has opened yet as when i took an international flight out of KKIA just last month, the lounge was still under construction. But there was this notice outside the lounge and i was actually very surprised to see that Maybankard 2 Card AMEX (Platinum) was among the cards listed that give free access to the lounge.
*
My bad... was confused between Sabah and Sarawak. See, this is where member reported that MBB 2 Amex can gain access.

Cuz as far as i know of only infinite cards are possible to access PPL except citibank premier miles amex which is the medium range card that have access
*
Haha, Im not sure. It wasnt me provide the info. Thats why Im curious and ask. I think the more accurate is still go there and try coz Maybank CS might not give accurate info on PPL access sometimes.

Anyone know if Citibank PremierMiles Amex supp card can have unlimited access PPL?

So far Im aware that only RHB can share the access with supp card. The rest seems only apply for principal, otherwise discount for guest.

check on the 1st post mentioning CIMB Visa Signature only for LCCT lounge? how about other country lounge? not able to use it?
*
KLIA, LCCT and Singapore (The green market).
CIMB is verg stingy that gives u only 2 access/year. To get another 2 access following year, u need to spend at least 100k in a year. -.-'''

look like this card doesnt have much benefit sad.gif
thought could be use on other country lounge as well

For lounge access, other than those world card or infinite card that gives you access to worldwide lounges access, I think AmBank Signature/Platinum gives you the most choices with access to 17 lounges, of coz, t&c applied.

Was asking the guy at roadshow last week about the Premier Miles AMEX. He said both principal and supp card are entitled to enter PPL as they just VIEW the card and wouldnt know if its principal or supp.

I was like "Are you sure?" and he said Yes. But Im not convinced and still unsure. smile.gif

The PPL staff will ask for your credit card to be swiped. The slip (receipt) will show an amount of RM0.01 (RHB) or RM0m.00 (UOB) and you need to sign on it. The same for supp holder too (RHB).
*
Yeah, I also told him that normally they will swipe to confirm, then he told me from the customer feedback that the PPL staff just nees to see?

Maybe RHB n UOB has limited access thats why need to swipe while Citibank has unlimited access so just view will do? Im not sure though.

This comment above is correct.

A simple logic:
The PPL still need to swipe your card because it still needs to collect money from someone. But to the obvious if the bank gives free entry benefits, then the charges wouldn't come to you but towards the bank. If they did not swipe, there is no proof. If there is no proof, PPL will not receive payment. If PPL does not receive payments...errr....you guys can probably figure out the consequences..i.e. closed down due to no revenue.  wink.gif
*
Yes, agree, but simple logic could also mean Citibank paying one lump sum to PPL and the contract might run for maybe a few years that grant unlimited access to all its qualified card??? As I also think its more logical that PPL will swipe the card but it's the Citibank roadshow fellow says not needed, perhaps he "talks" to get card commission, who knows? smile.gif)

actually want to know when is the most annoyed experience when a card sales personnel approach you? For myself its when i was walking along the mall and you politely rejected them but they still insist to continue pushing their product
*
Normally I would just tell them I just cancelled my card last week. I find this reason very effective and they will stop chasing.

OMG, Platinum also can?? Their site states only KLIA, Langkawi and Johor only.

Haha, so contradict! Is this the reply from email or what? And is this latest?

Suddenly feels Citibank is so generous on PPL. smile.gif

I was thinking to get their PremierMiles Amex but can now get Platinum instead as Amex is not so widely accepted.

Yup, latest reply from their CS. Still hot from oven. Take note that this is the silver platinum, not the blue one. If they are adding KLIA2, i might just apply for it again  biggrin.gif
*
The blue one is the Cash Rebate platinum or something right?

Yup, Im referring to the silver Plat card, another plus is it also comes with Purchase Protection and Extended warranty when you buy certain products.

UOB Preferred Platinum card has free access to most airport lounge?

Not taking Infinite/World/PPMC into account, UOB Pref Plat n RHB VS have 7 lounges, Citibank Premier Miles has 10 lounges, AmBank VS has 17 lounges.

Local lounge are more lenient while its not quite possible for overseas lounge. You may refer to bro Gen-X. He's using several cards for several family members locally. Can get tips from him on how to "nego". rclxms.gif

Sharing food pics from The Green Market, T2, Changi Airport.

I have this 2 complimentary lounge access pass from my CIMB VS. There are 3 locations that you can use the pass, which is KLIA, LCCT and Changi Airport. However, at Changi Singapore, instead of lounge, the pass is for The Green Market (A Japanese Restaurant). The food served here is a set menu + buffet salad bar, rather different from other lounges.

The ambience, is not that secluded like private lounges, obviously because it is a restaurant. The set menu, which was still exactly the same like when I came here last Dec, consists of what I have attached in the photo. It comes with a drink, chawanmushi, Japanese garlic fried rice, 4 pcs tiny salmon sashimi, and a slice of cod fish. The couch seats here are ultra uncomfortable! The back is flat 90 degrees! U feel like sitting against the wall. Recommend to take those seats near the walk way that have lower back support + low tables.
