I had visited the KLIA2 Gateway PPL few times and if I'm not mistaken, those shower rooms that're open is either others had just used it or the cleaner just cleaned the shower room and in the midst of replenishing the used items such as clean towel, tissue papers, shower gel... etc, hence, it'a always better to ask the receptionist to open a new shower room as you get to use clean towel and well maintained shower amenities.

If I'm not mistaken, it's not FOC, there will be a charges of USD27 per guest that you check in as I remember it's written in the booklet sent together with the card.
However, supplementary card would probably get to access any PPL nationwide FOC despite of Maybank Customer Service said that there will charges.
At least Maybank did not charge me any fee to my Visa Infinite supplementary card.

Hi Fruitie, Wellness Spa @KLIA2 probably would have towel and shampoo as according to Plaza Premium Lounge official website, it's written that they have "Shower with amenities". Logically thinking, Wellness Spa should have towel and shampoo as Gateway @KLIA2 do have it and it's run by Plaza Premium Lounge as well.

Or you may call Wellness Spa @KLIA2 at +(603) 4065 0165 to save yourself from doubt.

Why not head to The Green Market or The BAR instead? (Assume you don't mind some walking and provided you have the time to do so)

The Green Market open at 4AM and The BAR open at 5AM.

Hi maskedchan, not sure if you had gotten the answer for the above question or not, so for your benefits as well as other readers, my girlfriend managed to enter PPL at domestic area for Penang Airport and Gateway @KLIA2 free of charge few times by using her Maybank Visa Infinite supplementary card. Those receptionists would ask for signature on a slip and some may ask for boarding pass for scanning purpose.

My first credit card was Standard Chartered Visa Platinum, then Citibank Cashback Platinum, and not long after Maybank approve my Premier cards application, I cancelled both the SCB and Citibank cards without any hesitation.

I'm holding Maybank's Amex Plat Credit Card (without Maybank logo) as well as Maybank 2 Card Premier, according to my understanding, whatever supplementary card could get to enter local PPL free same as the Principal cardholer as PPL wouldn't know that is the Supplementary card.

The receptionist at PPL would request to check on the Boarding Pass to scan the barcode at times and if there is any charges, they will print a receipt and ask the cardholder to sign in order to claim for the charges, you may of course at that point of time decide to sign on the charges ta gain entry or not.

I assume those receipt that they ask me and my supplementary to sign are just zero charges for them to claim it back from the particular bank for each entry.

Not necessary, sometimes they do check, sometimes no.

My experience is the 1st time they check, and they didn't request for boarding pass during my return flight probably the receptionist recognize my face.

What I mean is that the receptionist who assist me on checking in to PPL before departing could still recognize me upon return flight hence does not request for boarding pass.
