QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 18 2011, 01:19 PM) Moral of the Story: Don't buy F&B coupons from Groupon no choice, OCBC TMC still giving 1% rebate. compare to other credit card, only HLB essential is on par with TMC, others gave less than 1%

QUOTE(Ah hao @ Nov 3 2011, 11:13 AM) Please advice me getting which card is better for my scenario... Considering OCBC Titanium and MBB DUO card. Any other card is welcome too. 1. I spend on CC <1k per month. 2. I spend through out the week, not mostly weekend. 3. I only have bank account in MBB, it mean i need to pay RM2 for paying OCBC bills online, through maybank2u. 4. I won't bring 2 CC out even if i apply MBB Duo, i will bring AMEX only(due to more TP) ,i don't like to bring so many cards out. what are the items u spend on ? just apply for both cards. bring OCBC on weekday, AMEX on weekend. you can OCBC credit card payment using their CDM

QUOTE(Ah hao @ Nov 3 2011, 11:21 AM) mostly food (3-400) and petrol(200) , movie, tm,utilities bills i am not considering both, as my spending is not much, cant reach the cap i guess. No OCBC bank near my house, 45minits drive maybe in this case, MBB 2 cards is more suitable for u. For utilities bills, you can do auto debit to AMEX

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Nov 15 2011, 01:46 PM) beside amex, is OCBC 1% cash rebates for other purchases are considered highest compare to other credit cards no. SCB just one Titanium offer much higher cash rebate value. But that card no longer accept application already. HLB offer the same 1% uncapped This post has been edited by gerrardling: Nov 15 2011, 02:11 PM

QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 17 2011, 08:59 AM) You can always call OCBC CS line to enquire the MCC code for each treansaction you make. They can tell you directly as its shown on their screen. OCBC don't need to call you back after "researching". If you hit RM50 consistently , it doesn't matter how they calculate. I keep each record to ensure I hit the target RM50 just right (with few sens added) how about auto debit ? can they check which MCC code is it ?

QUOTE(xjeez @ Dec 19 2011, 06:24 PM) Now it seems Groupon has changed to a new payment system, it even bypasses the TAC request. that is the thing that make me worry. I was waiting for TAC to come and to my surprise, the transaction just go through like that !!! This is really insecure at all

QUOTE(ckweng @ Mar 28 2012, 11:30 PM) OCBC is becoming more aggressive in their marketing campaign. Now they're giving rm50 rebate for those who apply at The Curve. That's what i saw on the Sun newspaper. because of that, citibank has to move their booth to ikano. currently whole "the curve" shopping mall is advertised with their banners. Not sure why they choose the curve instead of mid valley or bigger shopping mall. This post has been edited by gerrardling: Mar 29 2012, 12:04 PM

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Apr 19 2012, 05:25 PM) not future la.. everyday there's a quota of free ocbc tickets...unless i'm mistaken Added on April 19, 2012, 5:26 pmthis is exactly why i forfeit my initial plan of trying out the gold class for the 1st time with this ocbc buy one free one opportunity. the surcharge is outrageous but if your share your expenses with gf or bf, it cost you RM27 per person for GOLD CLASS which has better environment and most important is comfortable Sofa chair
