Skng03, can nego one ar? then ii should nego also the price then.

One more question need all the sifu here to give some advice. Someone told me Maya solid wood flooring thickness is 4 mm which is different from what stated in the spec, 10 mm. The contractor use cheaper and less thickness solid wood. This complaint was raise by one of Maya owner who himself is a contractor. He actually didnt pay too much attention on the solid wood flooring, untill one day happend to be he step on one edge of the solid wood, and the wood crack and broke. Then he noticed the wood thickness is not match with the house spec. Can anyone please confirm this? If really contractor didnt give us the right spec material, can we sue TP ? Or requested them to redo the whole house flooring since we pay for 10 mm solid wood flooring, not 4 mm. Please advice. Thanks

Just take out Resident handbook to check. On page A15, it stated timber flooring, 50x 250 -450 mm, 10mm thick. Code, solid timber strip (Burmese teak), supplier is FORMADECOR SDN BHD, No. 9, Jalan Inai, 55100 kuala Lumpur, 03 21421388

If the supplier really use cheaper 4 mm thick wood, we need to consult lawyer what is our next step. I would said this is a quite serious case.

Check the s&p, just solid timber flooring. Didnt say about the thickness. This is so fishy... shocking.gif if not stated, is it mean that they can give us anything, 10 mm mix with 4 mm or 6 mm or etc also,we cant do anything? How can lum Chung allow their supplier to cheat us. So sad... What a big disappointment...

Confirm is 10mm solid timber strip. However, there are grinding work to ensure on the surface to be nice. So may grind off 1mm or 2
Consulted with the project department, definitely no 4mm, 4mm step on also can break...too thin.
If you come across a 4mm timber strip, bring this up to the management and we will conduct an investigation.

Ok, thanks Eugene. smile.gif Will check and take photo later.

Will personally drop by to your unit over the weekend to check it out.

Eugene,
Please also drop by to check my unit too. Same problem, ..cut foot, uneven surface (rough surface), bad joint, big gap in between, and the contractor use some funny color glue (something like orange color) to fill up the gap. And, also yes...weird sound if you step on it.
One more thing is the solid wood near window. There is a lot of water mark, dirty, crack etc. (I can provide you picture)

Went to check my friend's superlink unit in Desa Park City.
His house timber flooring is so much better compare with TP.
Nice color, shinning, glossy, smooth, and no sound at all. That why i think TP timber flooring is a big issues. I would strongly recomended to change the Timber flooring supplier.

Anyone don't believe me, can go check in Homedec this weekend. See thier sample and you will know what i mean.
ABout the 4 mm thickness, i will provide picture to you soon.

Thanks

Rgds

The timber at window water mark problem is a design issue. With the aluminum frame sitting on the timber window sill + no coping on top of the window make water come in inevitably.

Ic, what u do to prevent the water come in again? Dont see many ppl start reno or move in yet. Seem like everyone taking their leisure time. smile.gif
