1) u can use data counter widget

2) As default u cant if u use nokia sleeping screen everytime u put in your pocket it will turn off to preserve the battery

confirm worked i even use my N900 cable before.

last time they used to do that to many nokia phones cant remember what models already. Always stumble upon such videos in youtube
