i tried it
i saw in my map at sundermount base and sundermount top the spot called hidden lair
at the top at the graveyard i did fought with corpses and one arcane horror
but when i went up the top past the shrine to the hidden lair just before the cave called "pride's end", no fight occured
*
The clue for 2nd aspect is quite easy to find if you observe carefully. When you running up the hill path from the dalish group to the sundermount cave, slightly before reaching the cave entrance, there should be a small area of ruins with some broken walls, pillar. Search there and you should find it, right behind a broken / collapsed wall.

When you complete all 3 lair, the final 1 is just outside ander's clinic, where you access before while doing the birthright quest.

What slowmo effect you are referring to?

Read in Bioware forum for more info.  The bug is said to happen to any of the bonuses from your full relationship from your companions.

One of the example is isabela's full friendship bonus which add +5% attack speed.

When she is forced to leave your team like in storyline or when you go back to your house, the game deduct 5% from your attack speed.

So with isabela your atk speed raise from 0% to +5%.  But then, each time isabela is forced to leave your team, your attack speed drop 5% permanently.

So some people gets like -50% attack speed.

The bug is said to happen with other companions such as magic resistance -50% or so.

Waiting for patch to fix the bug.
*
That is just some minor bug which can be fixed easily using the DAO save editor. Just look for the animation speed modifier and damage resistance and set both value to 0 and it will be fix temporary, unless you keep moving isabella and sebastian in out of the active party list. Only both their friendly passive will cause this bug. If you had both their relationship to rivalry, then nothing will occur. Remember to unequipped all your gears and reequipped them after the reset, if any of your gears had bonus related to speed and damage resistance.

i not only get slow mo speed but also -50% damage resistance
sad.gif

as for the 2nd aspect quest, i went back and forth sundermount 5x and no battle
so i gave up and head straight to end game and my character just couldnt fight fast and killing the experience very fast
so i stopped playing till patched

Slow mo @ bioware forum yet to be fixed lah

and before u ask, its an original dragon age 2 bioware signature edition beli at tsb.com.my
haha

Dude read my reply above la. It can be easily fix urself on the speed reduction and damage resistance by using save editor. Just change both back to default 0 and will be ok. As for 2nd aspect scroll, I take a screenshot for you. If you still cant find it, then I totally speechless. I still remember its location because I also having trouble finding it during my previous 1st play through. Found it during act 3

As for the save editor, get it at the link below
Save Editon and GFF editor

By using the save game editor, you can rewrite your reduced speed and reduced damage resistance back to the default value which is 0. The new value will stay permanent, until you move isabella and sebastian in and out from your active party list. Because of the friendly buff of isabella +5% speed and +5% damage resistance from sebastian, each time when they are out from your party, you get -5% on each. So just manually correct the value by yourself before any patch on that is out, since its not that hard.

hey it only works if isabela has joined your squad previously right? lucikly i didnt select her after obtaining her
*
Well I not too sure if entering your own estate will trigger the bug or not, as it might be consider all characters leaving your party. Will update it later after I test it out.

Regarding the bug speed after I did a few re-test, before altering the animation speed modifier through save editor, make sure to unequipped all items which provide speed bonus, as well as speed buff if there any. Only by doing so the speed value will be correct after you reequip all the speed bonus items.

PS: Ok just tested and confirmed. As long isabella or cebestian isnt in your active party, they wont cause any stats debuff. Once you put either of them in your party, eg isabella and swap her out later, you will get 5% reduction in attack speed, and 5% damage resistance reduce if is sebastian. After tested out on the reset, it is confirm that isabella 5% attack speed buff wont be active for the champion, but only for herself only. I will assume the same for sebastian. So basically both of them is useless for now to have in the party. Only use them when needed, eg their personal quests, and do a reset on attack speed and damage resistance after swapping them out and you can play normally.

while i have both of their buffs i never bring them anywhere in my party
haha
thanks man
as for the second aspect scroll, i remember looking all over at sundermount and i press tab all the time when i walk anywhere
did not see anything popping up
smile.gif
but its okay
i'll replay after winning the game and give it another play through as a bloodmage
*
Try use auto tab and auto run mod, then u wont need to hold the key like crazy. After you alter back from the negative buff effect, you wont be having those slow motion problem. Just restrain to bring those 2 out to party unless needed for their personal quests so you wont have to alter save files that often. You can also alter the char running speed if you know how smile.gif

hey man
im using the gff editor and loaded my savegame.das
where's the character stats in the list eh?
i thought its under the playerchar but where's the relevant list needs changing?
as in the damage resistance etc
i think i can assume which one is my strength and others etc
*
Not the gff editor. You need to use the dao save game editor to open your save file. Then you should able to see inventory and party tree on your left. Expand the party tree and choose the 1st option which is your char's name. Look for the value name animation_speed_modifier and damage_resistance. You will will negative value on both. Change both to 0 which is default in the modifier column. Make sure to unequipped items that has bonus to attack speed and physical resistance, as well as any buff that trigger both. After change the value and save it to your save game file. Restart your game and reequipped your char and you wont see any slow motion anymore

Since this is the spoiler edition thread so i'll say this but it's more of a bug i encountered. In Act 3, when i have quests to talk to my companions, i went to talk to merrill and and i spoke to her and it seems the conversation leads to the death of the Keeper but i have not gone through anything that shows the keeper died. Wonder anyone has gotten the same thing before.
*
That a known bug with the conversation. It will happen once you go to merill's house in act 3 even before you start her personal quest.

i read that it was supposed to be dropped by Javen but i have killed him 10 times and still havent got it...

Well that was another bug, but not big deal thou. Just lack the final upgrade only which might be an extra rune slot. My varric also didnt manage to complete upgrade as I didnt use any old doa save and started with a different history background.

Download both the attachment below. Extract both the files. To enable auto tab and auto run, run the .exe file. Start your game and set your secondary forward key to T. Press tab and T in game to toggle on off for auto tab and auto run

As for the running speed, put the apr_base.gda file in your My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override folder. You can edit the file using gdapp to change the speed to your likings. The default running speed is 6 and I set it to 8 for my champion for faster travel around. You can set for your companions as well if you want to. Just look for the value game_runspeed and edit it yourself
Attached File  T_key_autorun_tab_toggle.7z ( 290.45k ) Number of downloads: 13

Attached File  apr_base.7z ( 7.46k ) Number of downloads: 22

*
Its on the 1st row, where you need to scroll right quite a bit. Search for the value named game_runspeed. The 1st 4 value is for the main char speed. If you want to edit companion speed as well, just scroll down and look for each of them

Do i have to finish all quest to continue the journey wif bartrand? Its my first play i just wanna skip all 2ndary quest n play the main quest to see the storyline. He keep asking me finish do business
*
Well you can skip as many sub quests as you like, but you wont be able to do them again once you got into the deep road. So you lose things like exp, gold and relation points only since after deep road, you will start in act 2 already.

argh the Favor and Fault is a bug...bummer...
have to wait for patch then to get Aveline's last armor upgrade...zzz
anyone Dragon Age Legends...lol...
btw for rogue in DA2, is the weapon during the start of the game where we saw Hawke in full gear, Finnese and Spider's Heart is it?
if so the the Carta right and left hand is better...zzz...
*
No the starting weapon for rogue is call champion's edge, which only had 27 physical damage by default with no restriction. The shape is very similar to finesse but slight difference to spider's heart. I prefer 2 element daggers over the 2 carta.

and towards the end finesse was the only weapon i found similar to the weapon the champion used... tongue.gif
*
You wont be able to find the champion's edge unless you know how to mod. That pair of daggers literally not existed in the game beside the opening part. Even a mage can dual wield with that pair of daggers. As for damage concern, can always mod the dagger with the feature improve with level up, as well as adding other bonus to it.

*
Open it with gdapp. Go download it if you havent. If you open the apr_base.gda file with gff editor, then you need to edit as below.

1. Expand G2DA_ROW_LIST
2. The 1st 4 rows which is 0-3 is the 1 you need to edit.
3. Expand 0
4. Look for G2DA_COLUMN_34, the float point value there should be 8.0 if you download the gda file which I upload. This is the value for changing run speed. Default is 6.0. If you want 50% faster running speed, set it to 9.
5. Do the same for the next 3 rows which is 1-3 and save.

Only fast enough to kill elites type but not true bosses. Tougher bosses like high dragon and Varterral will always knock you down often enough to interrupt it. And always need to beware of the party members as 2h sword can easily friendly fire, unless you play in other mode beside nightmare.

Not sure if any of you having or encounter this bug before. I recently just start a mage and she around lvl9 now. I had skip both the spell elemental weapon and arcane shield, but I notice even after I had unlearn those 2 spell with maker sigh, they will automatic relearned without me noticing it, even when I had no skill points left. When I reset again using maker sigh, I will gain extra 2 skill points from it. If keep repeating, the skill points will keep increasing sweat.gif

My rogue in hard mode, I think the arishok bit bugged. As after I create a replica for him to attack, he will like stucked for awhile even though my replica being destory. But still need to take sometime to take it down as he keep drinking potions for 3 to 4 times when his hp drop till around 40%. Warrior no idea as I choose the other options with my warrior in nightmare mode, which is party fight. I think that should be better and offer more exp.
