Yes. u can force ur phone to transfer app to ur SD. There is 2 ways:

1) Like fuzore said, u can use app called app2sd and move2sd enabler . However this method requires root permission. (Superuser)

2) Method 2 no need any root, but u will need to install Android SDK to ur PC, and debug ur phone. Then code the phone shell to force app to sd.

I am using method 2 it works like charm.  thumbup.gif

How to force App to SD on Galaxy Ace or Android Froyo 2.2+ without ROOT permission.

This method is only for Windows PC:

ALERT: "Try this with your own RISK"

1) Download Java SDK from this website and install it to your PC.

2) After finished installed the Java SDK, then download the Android SDK . exe

3) Then connect your Ace using USB cable to your PC, and enable USB debug mode.

4) Open the Android Manager that you have just installed (on step 2). Download the default API and Google USB Driver Package. (as shown in diagram 1 below)

Diagram 1:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

5) After finished installed, you should be able to see the Installed package in the Android Manager.

6) Next open your Windows "command prompt". Go to Start>Run> type CMD and press ok.

7) in command prompt type:

CODE

cd \

cd "Program Files"

cd android

cd android-sdk

cd platform-tools

adb shell

$pm setInstallLocation 2

Your command should be like shown below in diagram 2.

Diagram 2:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

8) The command $pm setInstallLocation 2 will be shown again after you entered it, this indicate that it has been successfully modified.

9) Done! Basically all newly installed app will be stored at ur SD. For app that has been installed in your Ace go to your Galaxy Ace setting > manage application>"the application">and move to SD

Attention! Widgets, Launcher should not be placed in SD, move it to ur phone memory if it is installed at your SD.

If you kill some processes that requires ROOT permission, then I would say Yes. Otherwise it would be just same.

i've successfully rooted my phone but i hv this prob.
im using app2sd with move2sd enabler.
when launch the mov2sd enabler,it prompted says app2sd cant detect app to move.
so i just move the apps to sd card manually.
in app list,i've manage to move few apps to sd.
but the remaining phone memory is still the same.
its like the apps stil in phone memory.
anyone can help?

According to moon, samsung had increased the price slightly higher compare to last week batch. that's what she told me.
So in this case, supplier forced to increase too if not really earn nothing

I use GO launcher EX and I feel is better than LauncherPro and ADW launcher EX

Just install it. Look OK. But notice it taking a bit of memory for this launcher compare to livehome or samsunghome.

Added on March 13, 2011, 6:24 pmBtw, what data monitoring software recommended.

1. Not too consume the memory.
2. Not heavy battery usage.

Not recomment => NetCounter as it shows 80% battery usage after a night.

i use link2sd to install apps to my sd card. easier to use n manage compared to app2sd (at least for me).
just bought it few days ago and now have about 100apps and about 32 games (premium games mostly happy.gif). left around 40mb for my internal memory even when most apps have been moved to sdcard.
