1. Being named as Frost "Giants" they are not very big. I guess they had to shrink them down to make Loki as one. They are like Hagrid size (half-giants).
2. They should be able to do just fine without making Loki as a F.G., betrayal of the same blood should make a better story.
3. More myth/fiction than science involved.
4. Asgard warriors (Thor's friends) were not very prominent, they are just like more durable human warriors weilding weapons (not very god like).
