Edit: Looks like your best bet is Prepaid and Active 10 Active is you choose 10 friends to get best rates for SMS where afaik it's 2 cents/sms

The new Talk More 28 seems like a really great deal. RM28 for 200mins and 100sms !!

Thinking of changing to this (including RM38 500MB data) from my Internet Value plan RM50 since I don't really use more than 500MB

Should be 2 months advanced payment when I applied for it several months ago

Advanced payment means pay in advance lor, will credit back, your bill will show -RM100

Anyway, I'm a Surfmore 50 user, hardly even reach 500MB per month Thinking to go talkmore 28+ Internet 500MB for around RM56/month

If you hardly call/sms, then wouldn't your Youth Club plan be much better? Just get the internet plan that's available for only prepaid users. Last I remembered it's something like RM1/day for dunno how much data..

One thing I regret jumping from HYC to Maxis Postpaid are the dirt cheap call/sms rates lol

Err..actually you save a lot more if you're going for daily internet plans...let's just say RM1/day for 100MB data. More than enough right?

Like you said, you use mobile internet on certain days, so let's say you use 20 days in 1 month, you only spend RM20/month for internet data alone. Compare that to RM50/month for the commitment fee for SurfMore 50

I'm currently using Surfmore50 with 2GB data allocation now but hardly used more than 500MB actually. I thought I could tether with my laptop but I really seldom do it lol. If possible, I want to go back to HYC LOL

Bloody shit Maxis ate RM3 from my monthly bills all these while for some stupid "Call Waiting" feature which tells you if another number is waiting for you when you are in a call

I only knew when I signed up for the online payment services recently. Sheeeesh.

Also, unticked itemised billing to save another RM5...

Ehhh I'm 1 year plus already Just that decided to open a maxis account to pay my bills, which is easier, then I found out I've been charged RM3 every month for this nonsense!!

For prepaid, you can just subscribe for the SOCIAL LITE plan which is RM10/week,free 75MB, free usage for Facebook and Twitter (mobile websites)

Value Plus Internet 30 is supplementary line..

I'm afraid that if you are only willing to spend RM30-40 a month to enjoy free calls/sms and also DATA, there is no postpaid plan suitable. Even for prepaid, you have to expect to spend minimum of RM40++

For internet, the cheapest you can get is RM8/week for 100MB.

That's the thing about data here in Malaysia, you have to pay a lot of $$ for it (with exception to Umobile or other cheaper telcos)

Depends on what you are asking about? Line coverage or Data coverage?

As for the line, I have never faced a situation where there is totally no line coverage, except for once in a shopping mall toilet As for data coverage, shopping malls will be a big problem. I had zero data coverage in Mid Valley.

Btw, surfmore 30 was just only announced. RM30/month for 1GB data

1) RM30 is for 1GB data ONLY. Calls/sms PAYU (Pay as you use)

2) I doubt so.

Telcos are never that kind, I think you have to top up for validity period. Just like RM30 for 30 days.

Sometimes the speed in certain area is really bad and in some shopping malls like Mid Valley there's no data coverage at all!! Even though my phone is showing H+, can't even load any website

P/S: Can anyone confirm that prepaid 1GB/month for RM30 can qualify for LTE speed?
