No they don't, I have never encountered AmiAmi, HS, HLJ, GSC, Mandarake, Rakuten most JP online shop include shipping fee on the invoice that stick on the parcel before. GSC will learn and handle things like AmiAmi, cause they are partners.
And it's just how things work, custom tax your item base on your item's value, not by shipping fee, example importing a $50 pc peripherals will get taxed regardless, and you picked fedex to deliver from America for $50 same day deliery (yes it's $50), totaled up $100, custom cannot tax your item base on $100, it' $50, alot people duno and blind blind kena tax by custom without argument or dispute, they just pay up lol and went home ask in LYN (wtf?).
P/S: Mandarake even write 1,500 yen for 12,000 yen item on it by themselves (help relieve tax for customer? lol), since it's recon/2nd hand item, the custom won't bother.
Err, I have a quick question about this - When kastam say that they will tax for items over RM500, does this RM500 include the shipping fees?
I once had a package taken by kastams, and I was taxed for only the figures (the package contained books as well). However, if you were to minus out the shipping fees + book value, the total fee didn't reach RM500(almost, but not quite), but my argument for this was ignored.
..Given the box was huge, around as big as a mid tower chasis..
