i knew metabee comes from metal beetle..
it's juz i can't belief they put metal beetle on the box..
and if i'm not mistaken metabee olso being called as メタビー (Metabi) in Japan.. and not Metal Beetle..

it is shorter way for calling that
like War Grey Monster is called as Wargreymon, Metal Sea Dragon Monster called as Metalseadramon
you expect they use the long name in anime?

and do people called animal and plant by its scientific names every time? of course they didnt la

BTW if they KNEW how to use short forms like all the digimon that u mentioned, why hev to put metal beetle instead of juz metabee.. That's what i'm trying to say.. U said before japanese call it metal beetle.. Thru my reading, in japanese series they call it metabi also and there's another medarot being called metal beetle which is the prototype of metabee.. Go figure..

but the serial name is same with both(KBT10-M ) so it must be prototype then

and for robot having same name is not surprising
coz a lot of mobile suit in gundam having same name...
not to mention there are same unit with different name too

i forget already last time watch medabots in NTV7 i think they have 2 stage, this one is 2nd stage which have transformable abilities.
