How do you clean your panny Plasma screen?
My kids like to touch it - alot of smudge!!

If its just dust, I use normal feather duster, for prints, I use microfiber cloth, since its glass, you could use napkin/tissue as well, with slightly damped.

Hi all,

I've got my 42U30K last Saturday. 1st dah is okay.

But 1 day after that, 1 big line, about 2" thick appear on the screen.  vmad.gif It's will appear a few second after i on the tv. This line will disappear after about 10 scnd for the 1st time. But, since yesterday, this line appear almost more than 5 minutes. It seems like i will appear if the TV is in cold condition. If i switch off the tv for a while, and bring it ON in 1 minutes later while it still hot. No line will apppear.

Is it a faulty unit or is it normal? Need to sent to jusco by today. icon_question.gif

Nope. the line should not be appearing, check your cable, try swapping another cable if you have one, btw, are you using HDMI?

Else, call for warranty.

Hi all,

Is this Panasonic 32 LCD a good buy?

http://www.panasonic.com.my/wps/portal/hom.../VIERATHL32C30K

Compare against 32 LED http://www.panasonic.com.my/wps/portal/hom.../VIERATHL32X30K, the only different seems is the LED lighting and the Dynamic Contrast Ratio. Is the Dynamic Contrast Ratio cause much different in picture quality?

LED would give you better contrast, bright and vivid, if those are your preference, then go for it...its all in the eye of beholder biggrin.gif

ic, but the LED still not 'pure' LED as it's just using LED for lighting right?
Another one, is it a perform better compare to Sony and Samsung 32 model? Pls enlighten me.. biggrin.gif

Sorry mate, I'm not too much into LCD/LED to compare with another brand, maybe someone could comment. ANd the LED is back-lit.

But if you are comparing against PLasma, no where near, in terms of black/white reproduction and refresh rate and motion smoothness.

I would suggest, go the bigger store and play side by side and enure the settings are the same, and see what your eyes tells you. rclxms.gif

Full HD is pretty cheap now, do consider them.

HD ready are on 720p hence if your content is 720p, it should reproduce without any issues.

Hello Bros. I got quoted these prices for Panasonic Plasma TVs

50U30 = RM2899
50X30 = RM2599

Are these prices reasonable? Are there any other better alternatives for these prices? Thanks
*
checkout the Sales thread for latest pricing...comparing the pricing you had posted above, its better to go with U series... rclxms.gif

Sorry for kind of stupid question but the more i read the more confuse i am.

1. What is diff between Plasma and LCD in term of performance and maintenance.

2. Any recommended model? i looking for 42 inch.....
*
We have out so much effort and time in writing alot comments and remarks, comparing LCD and Plasma, a simple search would had been helpful.

But if you dont want to that to educate yourself, then here is a simple answer

1) performance= plasma
2) panasonic / samsung

Valensi. Official wi-fi adapter? means panasonic brand?
*
It would be better if you could connect directly to LAN (RJ 45), rather than wifi.

But if the modem router located far from tv set...then it will quite difficult to connect using cable .. some people dont want to lay cable inside the house because it will be quite messy.

can suggest any cheap access point that can receive wifi signal from another router? from there we can connect the tv using cable and internet are thru wireless.
*
if thats the case, then get the HomePlug, I still dont recommend wifi, just from my experience, when you play movies over the net, its very bandwidth intensive.....I do watch youtube clips and movies quiet frequently, and being on LAN it helps!
