I know this is rather late.

I go watch side by side:

Plasma 42v20 set to Dynamic
LED 42 set to Cinema

And I find that plasma have real black while LED have chocolate color tint to it.

Conclusion: who needs a conclusion anyway since we know Plasma
is the best..lollololol

the below links rated vt20=90.6 and samsung PN50C8000=94.5

Is that true that Pana picture quality and performance are bad compared to Samsung series 8?  cry.gif I just bought vt20 from Perfect Living on Sunday.  cry.gif
*
its true. Samsung has improve leap and bound from Panasonic. Furthermore, Panasonic are bogged down by
rising black issue. sad.gif

I am paying with my own money so I picked what my eyes picked. I especially like the color 'red' on Panasonic.
*
Red on Panasonic plasma is actually dull eventhough set to dynamic. Is it good to have duller red?

there is cartoon type of red and natural red as in flower red. That is why kids like cartoon because their color is always deliberately made much more attractive. But we all know cartoon are not real or natural.  Try this. Go look at real red flower and then go watch it on a Sony and you may know what i meant.

i was watching Panasonic Plasma and Panasonic LED. Both same source showing a truck.

On plasma, I see dark blood red (dark red) - setting is dynamic. While LED show dramatic red (setting is Cinema).

The problem is, I dunno the real red of the truck is which one. I tend to believe the real red is bright red eventhough
I might be wrong.

Here is the LED version:

Here is the Plasma version:

Problem is, which one is real? That time is bright daylight outdoor movie.

Red can be defined in the CIE chart. Both the pannys and samsungs get red decently accurate post calibration. In actual cases if anything samsungs are slightly undersaturated. However, I doubt it would be noticeable.
*
oh, means Pana is more colorful.

the only way to know which is correct is to have actually seen the real truck. Only by having seen the real thing can you know which TV is displaying the color correctly. And we have no way of doing that. That is why i use human skin tone and red flower as reference because we see those everyday. IMO Sony have one of the worst red because they are so unreal to my eyes.
*
its not a confirmation also. How you know if the tone is correct for that specific person or flower? maybe its very red leh?

Why so troublesome? Some shops have connect their TV to camera that shoot specific location of their shop.  Take those oppotuanity to test your skin tone lah.  Compared your skin colour with the colour of your skin in the TV.  wink.gif
*
not all shop do that ler... hehe...

Added on April 6, 2011, 4:46 pmalso, if I see the camera, I'll go calibrate that camera first just in case its not the camera processing problem tongue.gif

You should find a better example. You shouldn't even consider using an example of an orange and an apple.
*
ok, I rest my case. I place the picture to show u the different color. Not the model of the truck idiot.

Show how mature you are.

1. Comparing orange with an apple.
2. Jack hammering is good sound because it is loud  rclxub.gif
*
That does not show maturity. Arguing on the forum does show that we have no maturity. laugh.gif
