QUOTE(whackerinc @ Oct 17 2005, 11:08 PM) Old Arch Enemy trumps all over newer Arch Enemy simply because of Johan's thunderous vocals. The Angela era brought a more 'commercialized' sound, the guitars weren't as downtuned as the first 3 albums while the quality of songs lingers between above average and downright blehhh. Old Arch Enemy > Angela Arch EnemyI've heard Arch Enemy are changing one of the Amott's? Duno Trivium = Very very young and looks lively..hope to play Pull Harder Strings On Your Martyr with my friends XD Heafy really can sing and play .. I love 'Rain' at the end part..very heavy XD Another band to listen to..is Bullet For My Valentine.. Singing is kinda like Emo But listen to their guitars, alot of metal-influence and the vocalist is singing while playing those riffs WOOOOT |

Any power metal fans here? I just heard the new promo of Dragonforce's latest album; "Inhuman Rampage". You guys should give it a listen. The guitars are catchy and the bass lines rox. Head banging!

Head banging! dragonforce... i think i heard a few songs from them, i like Hammerfall too (they r powermetal too rite? ), like the songs HammerFall, Blood Bound, Always Will Be, Hearts On Fire.. , they have the same concept like Dragonforce too i suppose catchy chorus and all the fantasy (dragon, knights in shining armour,etc.. btw listening to God Forbid's new album , damn they have some good melodic parts engulfed in all the heaviness This post has been edited by mastervj: Oct 20 2005, 08:04 PM |

Trivium are an ok band IMO. Sure the double bass is pretty bloody fast for a non death metal band, the riffs are so so and the solos are too reminiscent of Arch Enemy. But it's the vocals that get my teeth gritting. The hardcore tone to it just ruins it while the 'clean' parts just doesn't pack enough punch.
Gosh i miss the old days of Soilwork, In Flames and Arch Enemy. |

i don't know if any of u guys realise this but the intro for God Forbid's latest album(IV: Constitution of Treason); "The End of the World" and the intro for Trivium's Ascendacy; "The End Of Everything" sounds pretty similar with almost the same notes and keys. The titles for both intros resemble each other as well. Is it some kind of tribute to a particular musician or is it just plain coincidence? haha..

Gosh i miss the old days of Soilwork, In Flames and Arch Enemy. i was listening to them one day and just imagined if someone like Max Cavalera sang for them |

i haven't listened through all the songs yet, but one particular song that i like is In the Fire sung by King Diamond. cheesy high-pitched screams, but the song gets 'melekat' in my head This post has been edited by modD: Oct 22 2005, 01:00 PM |

The Road from Mikael of Opeth is sweet but way too short. The rest are sucky IMHO.This post has been edited by whackerinc: Oct 24 2005, 11:51 PM |
