guys need the correct way to upgrade my friend SL i9003

from what i read from the guide at samfirmware for XXKB3 (only 1 file)

step 1:
1. Download and run odin.
2. Check Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
3. Click PIT button and select this file: latona_20110114.pit
4. Put your phone into download mode: Press Volume down + OK + Power.
5. Connect USB cable and the program will detect the phone's Com number.
6. Click Start button to download the PIT file to phone.
7. After it is Done Click on Reset button, then unselect Re-Partition box.

am i correct from 1-7

step 2:
as the file only have one
so i just untick re-partition
and select pda file only -xxkb3

that it rite

yup correct got 3 files
cos at my 1st post havent finish donlod

so just untick the repartition and select all the 3 file based on their category . correct

Flash mean that u install new windows (firmware)to yr android phone. Totally different than jailbreak.
You still need root yr phone after flashing new firmware.
Correct me if im wrong.

Of you dont carefully follow the instruction, u can brick yr phone.
Thats y need to read n read over again b4 flashing.
Although there's a lot of guide out there.different firmware zone different file.

Swap yrinternal sdcard with yr external card
Cos the 4 gb sl capacity very small.

Try to install new driver and kies for your sL and
yr cable is ori cable or cheapo
