Glad to own this phone and no regret after using for 2weeks, this phone rock. also my first android phone.

but i have one question here, i disable "Data Network Mode" but pressing on the side button, does that really disable Data Network? as i using non-data plan so need to 100% sure that can avoid hidden data traffic.

install "stats free" and it shown no data traffic but my bill is keep on increasing.

Thanks

wah, u know ur bill keep on going up?

anyways, u can install this: Android Booster. It has an button to turn on/off data with a widget installed. easy to use and it also does the standard memory and bandwidth monitoring in 1.

because i use maxis post paid, so i can regularly check my unbilled amount.
i will try to install the app, thanks

not sure about the 1 pressing side button is the same wif settings>wireless and network>mobile networks> make sure packet data is not tick. but i think they r the same.

Anyway just go to settings>wireless and network>mobile networks> and make sure ur packet data is not tick. (if this is done.i am positively sure u wont get charges for data.)

hmm..so u r using postpaid right? u can check wht u r paying for on the bill right?

thanks for your reassurance, i have both deactivated. hope no extra charge as maxis data charge is extremely expensive.
yes, i use postpaid and can check unbilled statement online

face problem with the alarm, it doesn't ring for few time and cause me late to work.
after some testing i realize that "Clear Memory" will close the alarm application, that is really stupid design.
anyone else face the same problem?

For anyone with FC problem when using Papago X5, it's due to the sound.
Select MUTE and the problem goes away! But you'll have to navigate without voice prompts  dry.gif

so far, nobody can give a straight answer smile.gif to the below Qs:

(1) I am waiting for the official OS2.3, is there an easier way to upgrade the SL?
(a) Kies - install with errors, so i uninstalled it
(b) Odin - saw snapshots on the net - too technical and looks dangerous
© i tried Software Update using Wifi in Phone setting - "Cannot connet to Server"

so, what is the ideal way?

note: my phone is not rooted and do not intend to do so. now waiting for offical OS 2.3

so, can any sifu here pls answer - will be very grateful

(2) need to install anti-virus on phone cos been d/loading apps to phone?

well, cant help much to comment on the OS but i would advice you to root the device with superoneclick which only took like one click with one minute.
i did not install antivirus and i dont think needed as well, it depend on people.
