It seems that most companies roll out their products without sufficient QC. Look at Apple's products when they are launched. Always reports of defects. It seems the latest iPad 2 has light leakage problems on its screen. Read the thread on ipad2 in this forum. The iPhone 4 still has problems with its built-in antenna if you happen to close your fingers over two small slots on both sides of the phone. Apple is trying to rush the production line to get the phones quickly to consumers. Even my new Myvi has a defective clutch which caused my car to break down in the middle of the highway, dislodged front wheel drive shaft which happened suddenly and brought my car to a stop in again the middle of the highway, defective rear sensor which caused me to back into a cement block....what more the Galaxy SL. Mine rebooted a few times when I pressed the Home button to activate the screen, got very hot when making a call and the battery power lasted less than a day on standby! Samsung substituted the AMOLED screen for the SC-LCD capacitive touchscreen in the Galaxy SL because, it seems (according to internet sources) that they are running out of stock to equip their next model with the AMOLED screen. So, we are being short changed as the SL is a downgrade from the original Galaxy S. Such attitude on the part of companies suck! They don't care about consumer satisfaction!

Papago X5 is design for android 2.1, so if your hp is android 2.2, it will have forced close problem.

Seems like Papago X5 doesn't like Samsung galaxy. Mine keeps force closing every few minutes when navigating.
Sygic is stable though, but map and graphics not as good as Papago of course.

Guys got one serious problem.
I was playing around with the "mobile tracker" function under settings> location and security .
and realized that it doesnt work in our region .
so if one day ( touch wood ) we lost our phone . how do we retrieve it or request for live-feedback of our phone's locations etcetc?

is there an application for this ????

i notice that too. but i cant even understand in theoretically how it is suppose to work.Let say if some1 stole ur phone and turn it off ? or it is place at a place where gps signal is so weak that it cant local ur phone position?

i believe should be same. i didnt calibrate my battery.
do u have another same type of cable at home?any cable will do,as long as is same type. it might be a faulty cable.
