My friend bought this unit the other day but it was an Europe set thus no chinese language available. Is there anyway to install chinese language for this? he needs the chinese input for texting.

i use apps2sd app to move my installed apps to memory card. playing games so far no problem

woohoo.....i ady swap the internal storage become external, then external storage become internal storage~~~~now i can install games as much as i like~~~haha

Want to share with all users that I managed to prevent rapid power drain from my phone's battery by using the Task Manager utility and clearing the RAM memory each time before I put my phone on standby. In fact, each time I clear the RAM memory a message comes up and tells me the number of applications that have been closed. Before that there were a lot of applications running in the background that I didn't know. They caused  my phone to heat up and slow down. Now I made sure that there are no applications running before I put the phone on standby. Now it's already 4 days and my battery charge has stayed on 50% 

Before this, my phone heats up on standby and when making calls. Battery power also drained very fast and I had to recharge within a day. Now I only turn on wifi when I need, turn off packet data and put my phone on GSM so that my Telcos don't suck away all my phone credits. I also didn't root my phone as I feel I didn't want to mess it up.

The use of the Task Manager is similar to my turning off opened applications in my iPad by pressing the Home button quickly twice, pressing and holding on to the application icon. When the small red circle with the "-" sign appear on each icon I just shut it off by pressing the small red circle. My iPad's battery has retained its charge for about two weeks or longer without recharging. So, the secret is to shut off applications when you don't need to use them, especially if your phone is on standby.

I use the application which is already in the phone, i.e. the Task Manager. Go to Application, look for Task Manager in second window of the applications. Tap on Task Manager and a window will open showing Applications running ("Running"), Downloaded software ("Downloaded"), Ram status ("RAM") and Storage. Tap on "RAM" and the message in the window will explain to you what it does. Tap on "Clear memory" box and a message will come up and tell up how many applications have been closed. You will be surprised at the number of applications which are running without your knowledge. As I have wriiten, it works the same way as you shut off the applications in the iphone and ipad. Hope this helps.

216 MB/478 MB. As of today (5th day after full charge) still have 23% charge remaining in battery 

same mine also crash (once in a while)....but of course i am not using the ".Pxxd" version...u know wat i mean....
but i can just go back into the application...immediately i am continue from where i crash....GPS also detect immediately so not really a problem.....

true enough....u must use the task manager to kill all apps and clear memory....especially u plan to hibernate your phone at nite while sleeping...

really save a lot batt....

last time...it burn few times faster of batt after i wake up the next morning...

but after i use tat method ie kill all apps + also the clear all memory ...my batt only down by a mere few percentage,,...after whole nite...
and normally when u clear all memory.....your ram should be only 215ram +/- against total available ram...

Galaxy sl actually is good. Wont have a phone with totaly no issue, just depend on wat issue it is. Iphone also got problem haha. I have no regret using sl but not yet familiar with android cz im new. My sl wifi signal no problem oh, stronger than my laptop. Anyone know wat shop will sell the casing? Cz I dont want to buy online if possible.
