Agreed. But it also depends on the size of the company scale and the field.

Mine is as below.

Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant

Job Desciption: Provide records management consultation, technical training, onsite and offsite technical support, system testing, deployment, maintenance and operation.
Years spent in company: 5 years and a half
Company: Local (small scale company - about 10 people)
Industry: IT/Software Development and Consultation
Employment Level: Senior Executive
Experience before joining: 1 and a half year as a system developer
Salary: RM4.1k (basic RM3.5k)
Benefits: Medical benefit, 12% employer EPF, 5 days work, working hours 9 to 6, contractual bonus 1 month salary in December, annual leave 15 days, medical leave 10days, medical and dental fee claimable up to rm500 per year and mileage is claimable (0.60sen per km).

@frequency
Thanks for the encouragement man. Kind of glad I still didn't 100% give up. Still searching for some new pot of rice out there but didn't get any yet.

@ivanswk
Haha. Actually I can live with it... but with some (and usually a lot of) sufferings la. High cost living in KL. >_<

@overclocker
Hehe. Really appreciate your encouragement. Yeah, very grateful that it is halal. However I do want to experience new fields especially in manufacturing and Oil Gas. But it's hard to knock their door. IT doesn't looks so appealing to them unless you do some codings or you have an engineering background. *sigh

all i know is shell and petronas only. they had outsourced their IT department to various vendor. Thus, you might not be able to enjoy their benefits too much.

besides, living cost in cyberjaya is very high and traffic become jam nowadays. thanks to HP global center. no parking during lunch hour and people forced to go dengkil or serdang to enjoy their meal.

if you are elite in SAP, you can get yourself a very luxury seat in most of the MNC IT department.

Do not think about cyberjaya if they not able to provide you 40% or more increment. Not worth to work there.

Food is expensive there. like others said, it might cost you RM9.90 and above.

Home sweet home. unless u like clubbing.....KL is your paradise. haha.... drool.gif (ah moi cantik banyak)

LOL. Actually... I am an ah moi myself but not so lenglui laa. hahaha

Anyway... I've been there to Cyberjaya as a vendor. And yeah... the transportation costs really kill me man. The food? Indeed... crazily expensive and not so much of choices. However, I do know that if you work with a small scale company... it is normal to have a 'slightly underpaid' salary especially if it is project based. The only pros of small scale company that I can think about is... you can have a lot of skillset and be a multi specialist (and multitasker) in a lot of things as you didn't focus only in one major area as what any big company did. If you weren't a multitasker... it's hard to breathe though.  laugh.gif

Too many specialties won't really bringing you some luck sometimes  blush.gif

*Edit

Anyway, is there any standard range or guideline to demand for salary increment?

I mean... every time you demand to increase your salary... how much can you demand? RM1k per year or how much?
*
i m sorry, senorita.

if you refer to increment, i m not sure as each company has their own plan. if change job, each time get 30% or more.

however, it depend on your requirement too. I have friend who ask for lower pay because he want a relax job.

30% maybe applicable in the early stage...after that it's hard to gain 30% in each jump.
*
when I reach that stage, i wont ask for salary. I ask for profit sharing from each of my projects.

that's really make a good money....

imagine 1% for a 10 million projects....

u get 3~5 this kind of projects yearly...haha drool.gif

Okay, I'll hav am gonna share mine here with a new account:

Job Title : Affiliate/Web Marketing
Job Desciption : Selling people's stuffs online
Years spent in (my own) company : 2+ as partimer; 5+ as fulltimer
Industry : eCommerce/Web
Tenure : permanent (I hope so wink.gif)
Employment Level : THE BOSS
Experience before joining : Mechanical Engineer, spent tremendously long hours studying about SEO and web marketing for the first 3 years.
Income: RM 180 - 250k /month (yes, RM180,000 - 250,000, per month)

I know, the numbers look a little unrealistic; I am expecting a lot of 'WTF' and 'sure-or-not' but I'm telling the truth. There are a few Malaysia (successful) affiliates I knew in my industry - they might not be making as much as I am but RM20-30k/mo is the minimum. Not trying to showoff here but just thought you guys might be interested to know and I'll have some fun (I guess).

i wish to know the nature of ur job....n the details
