I was in external audit as well. Normal days worked til 9pm. Peak worked til 12am, 1am. 3-4 months of 7-day working weeks. No overtime. Worst case worked from 8.30am til 3.30am in office, then went home, took bath, slept, woke up at 8am, did it all over again.
My advice is, take good care of your health.
Don't overstress yourself.
Take it easy sometimes.
Look at the bigger picture.
Know what you're doing.
Target problem areas only.
