Oh I thought it is within Seogwipo province? Lepak by the beach then. I've heard the view at Pyoseon Beach is ok at night.

I will be going on 15th. First 4 days in Jeju, then at Seoul until 26th.

Hi people,

I am going to Korea on 4-11/Aug/2011. It's kinda last minutes planning as I wanted to attend a concert there. So, everything is in a rush now. I'm still scouting for places to stay and where to go. I am still unable to decide whether I should go our from Seoul or just venture around Seoul? I have 7 days (4/Aug/2011, I arrived night time and 11/Aug/2011, I return night time).

I'm looking for accommodation in at the level of guesthouse or backpackers lodge. Can someone suggest some nice, clean, affordable accommodation and itinerary? Should I go out from Seoul or if 7 days too long for Seoul?

I have checked out Seoul Backpackers, Namu and Bebop so far, but due to short of time, I really hope that I can hear from you people who have been there.

If you're going to Haeundae beach, nvr miss the aquarium. the entrance is on the beach and the aquarium is under the sea

There's also a shooting range around 2~3kms from there. it's quite expensive. i went there on 2005 and it costs 60K won for one round. but they have a wide range of weapons you can try

Elsewhere in Pusan, you can go to Taejong-dae especially if you're into photography.

For accommodation, it depends on what kind of place you're looking for. if you're looking for a motel/hotel that's central to everything, try to look around in Jung-gu or Seo-myeon (where subway line 1 and 2 meet). if you want my recommendations:
Vesta Sauna, Hauendae - the view of Haeundae beach from here is just AMAZING!
Indy House - Indy is the owner, such a nice guy. You can chat with other guests while playing pool. And there're two Univ nearby
Motel Elysee, Nampo - two stops away from Pusan-yeok. The owner speaks very good english (iamsonsh@gmail.com)
Besides Haeundae, Pusan is nothing compared to Seoul (and the pubs closed at 3 am  )
