1)I'm not sure about muslim food pricing in Seoul. Infact i see none except the one listed on pg 1 by listiana and mostly at Itaewon area. For common Korea food pricing, mostly ~ 4000-5000 won/plate ..i.e on avg ~ RM12-RM15 per plate. So just take this as yardstick.
2) Souvenir- Namdaemun market is the cheapest place for souvenirs & for cloths- Dongdaemun & for cosmestic - Myeondong. Insadong is not cheap 3) Up to you but RM is not well tradwed in Korea. You can change it here wth a lost of ~ RM30 per every RM1000 or change to US$ 1st and change it at Seoul airport QUOTE(rajatetra @ Jun 25 2011, 09:10 AM) Hi all.. I will go Korea (Seoul) end of July for company training. one week training. Only have two days for jalan-jalan around seoul which before and after our training. already read v1 to v2 of this thread. commonly there are issue with food at korea, and espcially to muslim like us. This is first time for all of us. So, i have a few question. Hope u can help me. 1) How much estimated for breakfast, lunch and dinner expenses per person? if RM50 enuf or not? 2) Where place is suitable for souvenir shopping? cheap and ok 3) Do i need to change RM to Won first here or @ can do at korea? |

Actually unlike M'sian Airport, The Money changers operating from Incheon airport is actually not so bad and slightly higher than those downtown. Infact you still getting g=better by changing to USD first rather than changing 100% to won in M'sia..well not so much lah haha..
probably by this way, you will be getting ~ 2.78 rather than 2.82 let say.. QUOTE(shazwina89 @ Jun 27 2011, 12:33 PM) |

Haha if you convert like this, lotsa forumers will be super happy liao and only bring small amount to Korea. Yes, for Korean that amt is cheap bcos they earn Korean won & not RM. Everthing is 3X M'sia. so 400 won is RM1.20 & not RM0.40, 2,000 won is not RM2 but RM6 hor..anyway, at RM6 for a starbuck still consier cheap-lah haha
QUOTE(denzuke76 @ Jun 28 2011, 02:29 AM) Vending machine coffee is 400 Won! Starbucks, Lotte Coffee in a nice cup just 2000 Won or 2500 Won. Well think in won-to-ringgit, it's relatively cheap. So 40 sen for coffee. 2 RM for Starbucks. 4.5 ringgit for set meals! 90 sen for unlimited train ride. 1 RM for 275 ml milk, Ghana Choco milk! Entrance to disco/pub 5 RM. Rice wine 2 RM for big bottle (cheaper than water!) And most restaurants and eateries will give you water. |

I went to the one closest to Nami Island so that after nami island i can straight away ask the taxi at Nami island to drive me there..it's only ~ 15km from Nami island but teh neter taxi going there not really cheap..I kena ~ RM60 taxi ride from Nami island to Ganchon Ski resort. Thereafter I took the resort free bus ride back to Seoul from Chanchun station..(Overshoot the Ganchon town station haha Here's the ski resort during end Dec 2011..the snow still very thin that time ![]() This post has been edited by stimix: Jun 29 2011, 10:00 PM |

No problem. Any hotel/hostel will be able to do this. Just dun keep anything valuable inside can dy |
