hey guys .. i'm looking for games that has game-play like stronghold and age of mythology where we can see people cutting trees and bring back wood
to camp , hunt for deer and bring back meat n stuff. have already tried anno series.. settlers , fantasy.
don't want game that base on building military jst to go fo war. would like game that bases more on making the community and economy bigger.

u guys got any suggestion on latest game like description above ? tq

Its kinda hard to avoid the war factor in games situated under the rts genre especially with the specifics of seeing the peasant or workers to go cut the wood and collecting berries.

You might be interested in the rise of nations if you haven't tried it before.

Others, like age of empires series, rise of legends, majesty series and etc all fall under the war factor and they do have resources gathering mechanism.

Other than what you've mention like anno and stronghold, the best bet would be some really old games in the stronghold era.

well i dont mind a bit war in it. but not to the point only just about war. like stronghold at least it has option for growing your city before you can go atk a city.
i have try majesty series, empires series..
yes stronghold series was good , best of this type but lacking a lot. Anno would fit but i dont know why feels like lacking something.

Same here. Closest scifi alternative I found is Space Colony, (but even that one is leaning towards more Sims+Simulation rather than strategy) and Startopia (quite obscure game).

Come to think of it, I guess Galactic Civilization 2 also fits, but its turned based.

hmm..

how about the guild series, europa 1400. Buggy game, but its a worth a try, since its kinda old and cheap. Purely on economics, money laundering, politics, and mob

i like it very much.. got warfare and resources gathering/buiding/mission and so on smile.gif but the sandbox is the best smile.gif

Gets pretty hilarious when you out-tech your opponents to ridiculous levels. You'll see stuff like nuclear bombers dumping nukes on medieval swordsmen.

A related game, Rise of Nation. Seriously this is awesome. A game far ahead of its time.

EDIT: Yes, you also get to nuke medival kingdoms if you happen to outplay your opponents that badly. But the AI in this game is pretty decent, and you rarely get to faceroll your AI opponents that way.
