the originality of this slang is actually in hokkien, means 'ki chia', means die. cantos are copy cat! bruce.gif

Hokkien is superior than Cantonese. No doubt about it. Some say Hokkien is even more superior than Mandarin.

The origin is from hokkien gangsters to signify someone have to naik kereta polis or police van.

Soon it caught on to be a slang for "finished", "the end of story", "fail", "no hope" etc.

sadly Cantonese in UK say Cantonese is the superior Chinese language and they "ptui~!" at mandarin and other chinese slang. doh.gif really want slap them back then at airport! vmad.gif
