Am interested in getting the Neato XV-11. I hear that it's lower maintenance and is more powerful. What do you think?

Also, what's the difference between the Roomba 560 and 561?

Hi, 

Regarding the Neato is good on dust free for easy to maintenance & just empty the bin only.

But the Neato you may have to notice about drop area & heavy running noisy and can't to satisfied at all working job.

1. Noisy than all robots 
2. Wheel module easily crack
3. RPS error on laser sensor.
4. No bundle with virtual wall and easy to stuck at drop area & do not complete the job.
5. The magnetis tape is easy for kick away.
6. The Neato won't touch to the wall edge for cleaning up & all the time & avoid to touch on 1cm away.

Roomba on 500/700 series is the same cleaning job and only different of filter types.

The Roomba will much more dusty on bottom plate or anywhere & cleaning brush stuck the long hairs over, may pull out some long hairs on regular maintenance, but it is normal one. 

1. much better to collect more dusts & have sidebrush to help up for clean or wall edge.
2. Roomba have virtual wall to block    across that area.
3. Roomba parts is much more durable than others.
4. Roomba all the parts or accessories can get anywhere.

For the 560 is the older model & 561 is the new design for no lighthouse system & the external box still showing the model 560 & the Roomba bottom plate is name as 561.

Received my Roomba 561 yesterday. Gave a it a good run this morning and it came back with a full bin! Am very happy with it, and the Lighthouses are fantastic.

I want to have a robot which help to vacuum and mop the floor. From earlier reply, understand that i need a scooba and roomba to do both works. Do i need a roomba 780 or a roomba 561 is good enough to do the vacuum job? What would be the price? can you recommended me which model of scooba will perform well in a 2,200 sq ft 3-storey house? Hi, the 780 also can't cover as 2200 sq ft of 3 storey area.

I will prefer u get for 2 roomba 561 + 1 Scooba 380.

Cause if the roomba 780 can cover like very Larged area, the batteries also can't last longer for 1 year and flat..

Cause you need used the roomba clean on 3 floors + for everydays usaged.

I just prefer u buy the 2 roomba for put on ground floor and 1st floor also, cause the 1st floor can easliy bring to 2nd floor doing the job.

The Scooba 380 of 1 tank water of 1 cycle can cover up 800-1000 sq ft. Of 1 single storey house.
Cause the Scooba battery when in fully charged can used on 2 cycle of 45mins + 30mins of 2nd cycle.

Then it all you need.

Received my Roomba 780 last night. Set Roomba free to work first time in our ground floor, it roamed freely in about 30 mins in total, and I have cleared out the dirt in its bin for 3 times, didn't know there are so much dirt & debris in the unreachable areas.

Lighthouse works as advertised, and Roomba can handle intelligently with big and small cables. Cats are ok with Roomba due to it is way quieter as compared to normal vacuum. Overall it works like a charm and the only regret is not to have it sooner. Have scheduled it to run daily before we reach home, will check on Roomba tonight after we are back home. Clean floor everyday!

Wah.. Look like you very happy with your roomba 780 right now..

One more thing for every 3 mths please used the charger to plug in for charge directly and keep until next day.
To be keep the high batteries capacity performance

Hi the model of 581 is replacement by 780 instead of new products and come with AeroVac bin 2 and touch pad.
The price still slightly lower than 581 local unit.

Cause the 581 still using the standard bin & same like 561 model, just the big difference from virtual wall of 561 and 581 still offered with virtual wall/lighthouse.
