Bada 1.2 no big deal...i want BADA 2.0 for my Wave 2...with GPS FIXED.

Hmm...story with my Wave 2GPS again.

Today it seems to behave ok. I took out the Wave 2 and do the following:
1) *#4097*4097#
2) Delete GPS data.
3) Download the data (using WIFI from my HTC Desire as AP ...).
4) Walk out of the building.
5) Do the 'Test GPS'. Manage to lock in maybe urm...1 to 2 minutes gua.
6) Test the PAPAGO M7, ok, knows my current location.
7) Switch off the PAPAGO and walk back into building.
8) 1 to 2 hours later. At car park ready to leave.
9) Test the GPS STATUS...managed to get a lock under one minute.
10) PAPAGO running happily.

Duh....i hope it stays this way more often....

All this while, i turn off packet data...coz this is my wife's phone...no data plan yet...maybe subscribe next month or so.

Thanks for the tips...wah..this is really annoying if need to hold like this. I was holding it using my right hand this morning when it worked. So remember, RIGHT HAND...lol.

btw, i dun understand your data...what am i suppose to look at??? So many screenshot there...btw, how do u capture the screen shots??

Seriously, CSL does a lot of rebadging of India/China phones/tabs. I believe a lot of current CSL phone/tab are actually Indian brand (Spice). Like Perodua rebadge Daihatsu/Toyota...

ok, nvr mind...did more testing last night...it works ok!!! Lock in a minute or so.

Now finally can use the PAPAGO M7.......btw, i find the POI in PAPAGO M7 not so good...the category is very limited...it doesn't breaks down into more useful category....for example, i tried searching for Shopping Mall, but all these Kedai Auto Ah Beng also came out......Garmin is still much superior. I wonder if standalone PAPAGO GPS also like this??

More testing done with GPS today.

Went down to Klang and came back to PJ.

So far so good, didn't download any GPS data today, just use normal GPS (with data packet off, so i guess A-GPS not working either, eventhough i have enabled it). Locking pretty fast, less than 1 minute for most case.

This is how it should be!!! Hopefully it stays this way. For now, can consider problem solved. Maybe just need to download the GPS data every 7 days to refresh the satellite info.

Dang...must try hands on with Papago one of these days....there's a small Papago concept shop in Digital Mall...the girl also very friendly... ...maybe go check out and try hands on...i mean with the Papago GPS!...

Anyone has good case/cover to recommend for Wave 2?

Hmm....a lot of people selling off their Wave in Garage Sales....why?? ...

I bought Bruce Lee last night just to see the 3D graphics power...ermm...the game quite boring...nice graphics though. This is PS2 level graphics!!!

Bigga=Better. Size does matter.

Boring games lar....Robo Defense way better.

Tested my Wave 2 GPS again yesterday. Didn't download any data. Just start the PAPAGO M7 and go. Locks in 1 or 2 minutes.

I think i've finally solved the Wave 2 GPS problem.

Haha...just need to remember to download data every 7 days...

But the PAPAGO still sucks...sometimes go left can say go right...cannot trust the voice navigation 100%.

I missed my Garmin...haiz...

Next time, i do testing on Route 66 and report back. But the Route 66 seems to have a lot less info than PAPAGO (using MFM map)...dunno what map the Route 66 is using....some propriatery map download from their own site...hmmm....

Ndrive is free and can use Malfreemaps?? Any links on how to install the maps?? Which Malfreemap should i use?

I have too many stars...dun make any difference to me...

Tested with Route 66 yesterday....what rubbish...can lock the satellite, but the location seems to go wrong road on the map....also hardly any POI or landmarks....yuck....PAPAGO is years ahead....no wonder this Route66 thing is free for the Wave 2....

Done this on the OMNIA 2 last year or so...use it as a remote control to stream movie from my server to my WDTV Live. Didn't try on Wave, guess it's the same thing. Too bad the Wave can't watch all my HD 1080p MKV files in the server....i only watch HD rips.

And yeah...stop watching porn in toilet will ya??? We all know what you are doing there.
