I think no reason to buy Wave 3....initially when BADA was released, it was in a good positioning....powerful hardware at mid-range price...the Wave 1/II was essesntially a Samsung Galaxy S...BUT BETTER in terms of overall hardware built and features (got flash...eat that SGS!!), but at maybe 70% of the price. Good trade off.

But now...Android market is saturated from top to bottom...every price point also got a contendor. For less than RM1K, you can buy Galaxy W, or add a little for an SGS Plus.....same powerful hardware with Android market backing....basically i can say BADA can tar pau already....it doesn't makes sense for it's existence....app market will never catch up with Android, hardware is more or less the same as Android phone at same price range.

Seriously, no thanks.

Well, i wouldn't say BADA is a poor's man copy of Android...actually, in many ways it is superior!!!
1) No internal/external partition shit to install apps. Apps can be install on cards as you like. No need to move your apps (or worst, can't move) due to the Android internal storage issue.
2) UI is actually smoother than Android...even Wave 2 compared to my SGS2...the UI in BADA is consistently smoother...and the rotation and scaling of the landscape is much cooler and smoother in BADA.

Amdroid is actually not such a great OS...it carries a few critical issues with the storage and rendering (causing UI lag even on the most powerful hardware)...it is the support given to Android which is it's main winning point...etc free open OS.

The BADA actually makes a great feature phone...but without the apps support, it still nearly can't be categorized as a true smartphone.

It'll still have a market, but i think the price needs to come down significantly....maybe in sub RM700 region for the top phones...otherwise, not many people will opt for it...and thus will die a quick death...

Seriously, BADA is a better OS than other propriatery OS like Symbian...even Android in terms of performance.

Just to share..i find the 8mp camera in my sgs2 vastly superior to the Wave 2 camera. I am quie suprised actually. Either samsung,has really upgraded the image sensor to a bigger size or somethin. Video quality at 720p is about same though. 1080P video on sgs2 not so hot with frame rates drop frequently.
Just to share...very happy with the sgs2 camera..comparable to compact cam 5 years ago!

Say, anyone here knows how to export their SMS from Wave to Android phone? All i can do is backup the SMS from Wave 2 phone->VMG file. And this VMG file can't be converted to anything else...i have googled long and hard...still no solution....the only thing that remotely appears useful is this ABC Amber converter, but i got the version 1.03 and it doesn't work when there is a lot of files....

So any solution??? Or at least i can just merge these VMG file to one big text file!

I guess there is no way then...sigh...

Downloading latest firmware for Wave 2 now via KIES....should be Bada 2.0

Sigh...since nobody wants to buy or trade this phone with me, just keep it as spare phone...haiz...

Bada is so dead.

Dead and 6 feet under. Samsung is now trying with Tizen. No way gonna trust another Samsung OS effort again.

Stick with Android or iOS or even Windows.
