when that game happens, we do prefer 1 team to win over the other, but that just about it. but ABUs take joy in seeing United fail, for example if team X beat united, the supporter of team X will be extremely happy not because they win and get 3 points which will help them to gain premiership titles/avoid relegation/UCL spot, but rather they take the joy in making fun of the club (Manure, scum) , making fun of the manager (red nose old far etc), making fun of their players, making fun of their fans, and anything related to United. They would prefer Arsenal/Chelsea/City to win as long as it is not United. They hate MU so much that they dont have any regards to issues even like the club's dark history of Munich air disaster, and continuously using the term Man U even though they clearly knows why United fans are not using it.
it may sound like i am being arrogant and thinks that everyone wants to pull us down, but the fact is if u ask around, im pretty sure u will hear stuff like "I hate MU" or "i want any other team to win title except MU". this is where the term "Anything But United" comes from. Check out FB and see how many anti-MU groups are there. being a football fan means to support your football team, whether or not you choose to hate the other team is your own choice; though it reflects to others on what your mentality is.
actually i can accept when rival fans mocking us after the a loss or vice versa which i think is quite normal in football but what saddened me that some fans went overboard by mocking the dead. Like us we had Munich disaster and Liverpool had hillbrough tragedy but i find it hard to swallow when some fans went as far as mocking those souls who rest in peace. it's just pure rude.

FYI I'm once MU's fans,
during Cole+Dwight Yorke era,
RVN
Giggs,Scholes,Beckham,Roy Keane
Japp Stam,Garry+ Phill Neville
Schmeicel ?
supersub teddy sheringham +ole gunnar solksjaer
Denis Irwin?
Nicky butt ?
ya,I'm pretty sure that's
long time enough than when you starting watch footballbut I feel annoyed when 'newcomer' said he/she was united fans but when I asking who's the player,
they only manage to say :
David BeckhamLOL
same situation as now,
who's MU player ?
still Beckham !
wtf ?
I just don't want to be claimed as one of those fella

actually bro, it is entirely up to u if u want to switch supporting club because it is your choice but your reason of switching club is quite funny. of course u don't want to be labeled the same as the fans u've mentioned but if u support Chelsea from the day Roman buy the club, u'll be labeled the same thing too like "oh, u support Chelsea because they have more money to buy more star players and confirm win league title all season". But i'm fine with it. it is individual choice.
i've been mocked too when some of my friends found out i'm an Man Utd fan. they claimed that i support man utd because the club dominating the league now bla bla bla. it is down to u. people can say anthing on why u support a certain club but what matter most is in your heart why u support that club.
want to know how i come to like MAn utd for the first time? it is because of Lee Sharpe. i like his goal style celebration which he claimed was Elvis infamous dance or something (i read that in an old shoot magazine, can't remember. it was back then in Singapore in my grandma's house). from that moment on, i started to follow football and Man Utd. then i was amazed by their way of playing football. from that period too i learned about Liverpool as my brother is a big fan. we share views on our football clubs. it was fun.

Btw, I already know u're lying. You said you left united during the treble in 1999. But players like RVN joined united in 2001. And you failed to spell the names correctly. It's jaap stam not japp stam. Gary not Garry. Schmeichel not Schmeicel.
And regarding David Beckham, for your info almost everyone knows he not in united ady...not only U lah LOL
Epic failed.
Kantoi besar. i wonder if he know Raymond Van Der Gouw, David May, henning berg, jonathan greening, michael clegg, jesper blomqvist and kevin pilkington.

the more i think about it,
almost everyone in Malaysia is a glory hunter.
have to admit, Manchester United was one of the English dominant force in the world back then. it was a household name.
anyone who's a child of 90's or 80's (i assume, but might not be right) grew up with Manchester United, and when they are old enough, they'll change their legion.
I've met a few of my friends/cousins who indeed grew up with Man Utd, the 92 boys era. Beckham, Scholes, et al.
this is a personal assumption of mine of course. could be wrong. could be right.
well, being a Man Utd fan, surely will be labeled GH during before Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool rise of power. it is down to ourselves really. i have friend who switched from supporting MAn Utd to RM just because Ronaldo went to Real MAdrid.

European matches? Unless you have a place to stay nearby then it is fine. Because of it's late kick off and you might be having problems in getting back to your place of stay after the match. I don't know much I do think that some of the public transportation working until midnight only in London.
Kawen? Congrats.
yeah. true. if u're staying outside Old trafford area let say, Piccadily square, i don't know if that train operating during night time. if London then i can assure there are 24hours bus available. tube mostly won't be available after midnight. kinda scary using tube alone at night.
